🦚 Shrimad Bhagavat Saptah with Swami Abhedananda – An Exceptional Spiritual Experience 🕉️

From 20th to 26th May, during the auspicious Purushottam Maas, the much-awaited Shrimad Bhagavat Saptah spiritual retreat with Swami Abhedananda took place at Chinmaya Vibhooti. Over 400 sadhakas, from 19 states across Bharat & 7 countries around the world, gathered to enrich themselves with the divine wisdom of our shastras & revel in the glories of Lord Krishna, through Swamiji's soul-stirring satsangs.

The campus overflowed with ecstacy & fulfilment as divine festivities of the Saptah enveloped all. Swamiji's satsangs revealed transformative secrets from Bhagavatam for contemporary living, & emphasised the importance of devotion, dedication, & knowledge. Through the narrations of many great clans, kings, & devotees, Swamiji explained the need for seekers to plan their spiritual journey from an early age by evolving through all stages of life as guided by Varna-Ashrama-Dharma. A recurring theme was the significance of being in the company of the Guru, saints, & scriptural knowledge, in order to keep oneself steadfast on the path towards God. Campers were enthralled by Swamiji's vivid, intense, & intuitive narrations of Krishna Leela. Debunking many misconceptions around Krishna Leela, Swamiji reinforced their faith and surrender unto Him.

Ram Janma, Krishna Janma, & Krishna-Rukmini Vivaha were celebrated with great fervour. The camp concluded with a sacred Paduka Puja in gratitude to Pujya Gurudev, marking the 75th Year Celebrations of Chinmaya Mission. Swami Sughoshananda (CM Goa), Brni Vrinda (CM Jodhpur), Br Raghavendra (CM Jhansi), Brni Kalindi (CM Panchkula), Brni Mitali (CM Sultanpur), & Brni Shanti (Chinmaya Vibhooti) also graced the camp. Campers expressed gratitude for the warmth, care, & comfortable stay in the uplifting ambiance of Chinmaya Vibhooti.

On the concluding day, two Hindi booklets of Swami Abhedananda were also released in commemoration of the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav – 'Gurudev Tava Mahaniya Kripa', in which Swamiji expounds upon the diverse glories of Pujya Gurudev, & 'Bhagavad Gita – Aapke Liye', which is a dive into the unique wisdom of Gita Panchamrit.

Gratitude and Prostrations unto the entire Guru Parampara, and heartfelt prayers to the Lord for the wellbeing of all. Hari Om!

2026 is a special year for Chinmaya Mission South Africa as we celebrate 75 glorious years of the global Chinmaya Movement & 20 transformational years of Pujya Swami Abhedananda's presence as the longest-serving Hindu monk from Bharat in South Africa!

In these two decades, CM South Africa arose from the worst of times, grew stronger, brighter, happier, achieved national & global acclaim, & attained the love of thousands around the globe – all by the inspiration, guidance, & presence of Swamiji with us. We are ever grateful to Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda for planting the seed for this divine renaissance 20 years ago, and we offer our prostrations to Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda for His grace upon us.
