TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“The Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me. But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy.”
Acts 20:23–24, NKJV

The apostle Paul was very aware of the troubles and imprisonments that were in front of him. But he also knew that real victory is not when God does everything you like. Real victory is not when God changes all your negative circumstances and fixes all the people who get on your nerves. Real victory is when all that happens, but it does not bother you anymore. You have grown to the point where you don’t have to have all that to be happy. You are content while God is working right where you are, knowing that He has given you grace, not just for the good times, but grace for the tribulations. When there is pressure, when people betray your trust, when doors won’t open, your attitude is: “I’m going to keep running my race with joy despite what is coming against me. Yes, there is a lot of pressure, but I’m still going to give God praise. I’m on a road that I didn’t choose, but God is ordering my steps. I will not let what I want to get in the way of where God is taking me.”

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
“Father, thank You that I don’t have to be moved by the tests and troubles I face because I know that You are still on the throne. My faith and trust are in You and Your mighty power at work in my life right here and now. Help me to walk in real victory and to finish my race with joy. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.”
Matthew 9:22, NIV

In Matthew 9, the lady who Jesus healed of a bleeding issue would have been considered ceremonially unclean. Because of the blood, she was not supposed to be around people and would have lived alone as an outcast. No wonder she “fell at Jesus’ feet, trembling in fear” when He saw her. Would He condemn her as unclean? It is significant in that incredible moment, with the crowd watching, that Jesus called her “daughter.” He was saying, “This is My child. No more shame, no more hiding in the background, feeling unclean, unworthy, not good enough.” He restored her dignity. How she saw herself was forever changed, her self-worth, her value. She walked back home knowing she was a daughter of the Almighty God.

Sometimes we do not go to God because we think we are unclean. The good news is, God is not going to condemn you or push you down. He is going to lift you up. He will remove the shame and give you your honor back. He calls you His child, redeemed, forgiven, valuable, approved, fearfully and wonderfully made.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
“Father, thank You that You have the power to remove all the shame of the past and the sense of being unclean. Thank You that my faith can open the way for You to do amazing things and restore my self-worth and value. I am reaching out and touching You by faith today, knowing I am Yours. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

May our Good Lord continue to bless the hands that work, the body that shows up, the minds that plan, the pockets that’s brings money and the hearts that wants the best.

We see all that and without you all this congregation will not be where it is.

Happy Father’s Day to our Dads at OWP

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Then the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah.”
2 Samuel 2:4, NKJV

David was anointed to be the next king of Israel when he was seventeen years old, but he had to go through a season of proving before he took the throne. When David was thirty years old, after Saul was killed in a battle, the men of Judah came and anointed him as their king. Why was David anointed again? God had a fresh anointing for him. He knew David was going to face new battles, new challenges. He was going to need greater wisdom and strength, so God breathed on David’s life in a new way. With this second anointing, David established his throne and conquered new territories, but he wasn’t king over all of Israel, only the tribe of Judah. This second anointing was taking him there.

Be encouraged that what God has started in your life, He is going to finish. He works in phases. You’re anointed for the season you’re in right now, and when you need more, there are fresh anointings already lined up for you. Favor will increase, doors will open, the right people will show up. Get ready. The fullness is coming.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
“Father, thank You that You are working in phases in my life and You are going to finish the work You started. Thank You for the fresh anointings You bring at exactly the right time to meet my needs. I believe You are taking me into new seasons and the fullness is coming. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
