The department spent the weekend with 89 confirmation candidates asking the question: the answer - I AM AWESOME!!!! They are indeed awesome in God. Wishing them well in their spiritual journey. They spent Saturday morning reflectikn on 17 famous quotes of Nelson Mandela and discussing which one spoke strongly to them and why. Great insight shown. Thank you God for a blessed weekend.

The department was honoured to partner with Anglican Women Fellowship this Saturday as we discussed Domestic Violence, the different types, the signs, what to do and how to report. Most importantly what the role of the church should be and how the AWF as an organization can support. Thank you to our facilitator Pumla Mncayi for sharing the day with us.

Just finished an amazing holiday club training with representatives from 6 churches in the Breede Valley Archdeaconry. Seeing the growth and commitment of the youth who were present was amazing. The presence of 3 also at the training including the archdeacon was super awesome. Fantastic support from the leadership. The Caledon Archdeaconry was as well supported. Pics will follow soon.

The Diocese of False Social Development Department in partnership with The Mothers Union and AWF will be having an Easter Egg Hunt for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children on the 6th April. To make the day extra special for them, we still need donations of fruit, juice, ice cream and cones. More Easter eggs for the hunt would also be appreciated. Please do let me know if you are able to assist in helping us share the spirit of our Risen Christ with children on that day.
