Celebrating a milestone birthday with our beloved Mrs. Gloria Mhlom, who turned 63! What a joy to honor her life and wisdom. We're inspired by her words of wisdom to our youth: prioritize education and show respect to parents and elderly. Let's continue to uplift and support one another in our community.

We're thrilled to announce the successful election of our new Church Committee, who will serve for the next 12 months!

This milestone marks a new chapter for our local assembly, as we embark on a journey of leadership and growth under the guidance of Pastor Mtyapi and Mrs Mtyapi.

What's even more remarkable is that for the first time in 2026, we'll be having elected elders and deacons to support our church's mission and vision!

A huge thank you to Pastor Ganjana and the Regional Church Committee in the Western Cape for their oversight and guidance throughout the election process.

Mark your calendars! On 24th September 2025, our new Church Committee will come together for a strategic planning session, aligning with other church committees to ensure a unified and effective ministry.

We're excited for this new chapter and pray that God will guide and bless our leadership as we strive to serve Him and our community! 🙏

The Assemblies of God (BTG) Ashton local assembly, under the stewardship of Pastor Zolani Matthew Mtyapi and his wife, Mrs. Mtyapi, has embarked on a monthly fundraising campaign where five groups compete to generate funds, enabling the church to run its own affairs. Each month, the group that tops the challenge wins a prize. In July, the Israel group won the prize, and in August, the Soldier of the Cross group took the title (see attached picture). We appreciate the efforts of all church members in making it possible for the church to fund its projects and programs. The Israel fundraising group, which won the first prize in July, has been an inspiration to all the fundraising groups in the church, and we've learned valuable fundraising strategies from them. As the leadership of the Ashton Local Assembly, we believe that with their input, we can achieve great things, aligning with the Founder, the late Pastor Nicholas Bengu's words, "God's money must do God's work.
