Joy over God's election
On Sunday 7June 2026, our Divine Service was officiated by the Rector Jacobs. As basis for the Divine Service a Bible text was taken from the book of Luke 10:20
"Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven." NKJV
Message:
Our election by God, which is manifested when we partake in the sacraments, is a true cause for joy.
Priest Solomonโs was called to serve alongside, whilst our Sunday School Children saying โHear my Prayerโ.
Summary
๐ชฝThe disciples were chosen by Jesus and, when they were sent out, were empowered with His authority.
๐ชฝJesus emphasised that it is not the authority conferred upon a person that leads to salvation, but election.
๐ชฝThose who receive the sacraments, which manifests their election, can be sure that they belong to Christ and are accompanied by the Holy Spirit.
During the Divine Service, the parents of baby Ezekiel, brought him to the alter and the Act of Holy Baptism was dispensed.
The congregation rejoiced with the family on this new addition to the church of Christ.
The Divine Service was concluded with a Prayer and the Benediction.
