On Sunday, 1st February 2026, the congregation witnessed the Divine Service dedicated to Confirmation. The service was officiated by our Rector, Derrick Adams. He called the Priest Clarence Davids to serve alongside.

The text word was read from Matthew 10:32 [NKJV], which reads as follows:
"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven".

Message
We profess our faith in Christ.

Before the serving of Holy Communion, the Rector called 28 confirmands to the Altar. On this festive Sunday, our confirmands profess their commitment to Christ in front of the congregation. We surround them to witness their promise, but also to assure them of our love and support.

The Divine Service was concluded with the choir in song, bringing the joyous celebration to a close.

The Divine Service this morning, 18 January 2026, marks the opening of the Sunday School year. The service was conducted by the Rector Derrick Adams.

The Bible word was read from
Psalm 139:14 (NKJV): "I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well."

The Bible text emphasises that God
has wonderfully created each of us, even when we or others fail to acknowledge it. All of His creations are marvellous and deeply loved just as they are.

Summary
■ The creatures God has made are marvellous.
■ God loves you just as you are.
■ Let us not judge others. Everyone has their good points.

After the Divine Service, all the children and parents were invited to attend a presentation, conducted by the Rector, welcoming our children to the Sunday School.

On Sunday, 12 October 2025, Forest Village Congregation was blessed with a special Divine Service conducted by our Apostle Neville Williams. He called on Rector Shawn Jacobs from Devon Park Congregation to serve alongside him.

The Divine Service was inspired by the Bible Text from Isaiah 28:16 - which reads as follows:
"Therefore thus says the Lord God: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily"

The service was a powerful reminder of God's boundless love, focusing on the precious cornerstones the Lord has provided in our lives and emphasized that the Lord God is our cornerstone.

The Apostle bestowed the gift of the Holy Spirit on 18 souls, a joyous and memorable moment for the congregation and families involved. Lastly, the Apostle also placed our dear Priest James Joshua into retirement. We, as a congregation, wish the Priest Joshua well into retirement.

The service was concluded by the choir rendering the hymn "Praise Thou the Lord!"
