Scriptures Genesis 21:9-19, Galatians 4:22-28
Provision, is something bought or given to be stored for use in a later stage. God promised Abraham to bless him with Isaac but while he was waiting for the promised son, Ishmael came; hope could have been broken but The PROMISE was not over. When Isaac was born, it was time for Ishmael to leave. Abraham gave Hagar(Ishmael's mother) BREAD AND WATER(Provision for the journey)Genesis 21:14.
On their way they ended us in the wilderness of Beersheba :
-God opened the eyes of Hagar to see the well, this was after God heard the child cry. Because the child had,the promise to become a great nation Genesis 21:12-13.
-When you are a child of the promise, even the wilderness God will provide. Provision doesn't depend on who you are but on what you have, when the Lord Jesus Christ multiple the bread and fish : a little child was the one who had the 5 bread and 2 fishes and this was used to provide the provision for 5000(John 6:9): What you like look don't matter, it's what you have inside .Provision does not depend on seasons.
Bread and Water :
-In life is a journey, as for Ishmael, but do you have the bread? Bread is Jesus Christ himself, the bread of life.John 6:35. The Water is the Word of God, do you live in accordance with the Word?
A true child of the promise walks with The Lord Jesus Christ and in His Word. Accomplishment of the promises you received from God will not happen if you are dwelling in Sin.
Conclusion :
The true provision is Jesus Christ. He is the bread of life,that never finishes and the living water, whom after drinking you shall not be thirsty again.
