The CYM is based on the Bible as the unfailing Word of God and the doctrine that the church confesses, as contained in the three formularies of unity, namely the Belgic Confession , the Heidelberg Catechism, the Doctrinal Rules of Dordt and also the Confession of Belhar (1986). Live in compliance with the will of God according to the Holy Scripture;
