The Apostolic Faith Mission of South Africa (AFM) is part of the worldwide Pentecostal movement born at the beginning of the 20th century. In South Africa, the AFM is the oldest and by far the largest Pentecostal church.

We thank God for your life of faithful service, unwavering leadership, and shepherd’s heart toward the AFM Belhar family.
Your obedience to God’s calling, your humility, and your passion for the Word have shaped lives and strengthened our church across generations.
As you celebrate this milestone, we pray that the Lord will renew your strength, enlarge your influence, and continue to anoint you for greater works in His vineyard. May the years ahead be filled with divine health, wisdom, peace, and the joy of seeing the fruit of your labor.

It is with a broken heart that AFM Belhar, informs you of the passing of our beloved son, Angio Koopman.

A son to all, a true worshipper that not only enriched the congregation of AFM Belhar on Sundays, but a person that worshipped God in truth and in spirit. Angio’s death is a great loss, but we take solace in the fact that he is in the bosom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We know that according to 2 Timothy 4:7, Angio fought the good fight and has finished the race and has kept his faith. Although we are deeply saddened by his unexpected passing, we want to send Angio off, in the manner that he deserves. We will update you on the memorial service and his funeral during the next couple of days.

Let us continue to keep his mother, Angelique Koopman, the extended family, and the congregation of Belhar in prayers. Rest in peace our son, you have impacted all of us all positively and has made great inroads in the Kingdom of God.

Good Morning Beloveds,

*Psalm 89*

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister in Christ *Pastor Petronella Botman*.

She passed away *3 October 2025* in the loving presence of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

She lived an exemplary life in our beloved CHRIST. And today we as children are asking ‘death where is your sting?’

Although we are grieving, we rejoice that a Stalwart was our mother, entrusted to teach us about YAWEH and for that we are humbled.

Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and messages. We will keep you updated with the upcoming memorial and celebration of home going service.

Our only request is that you remember her with her fire and zeal for the Lord.
