FILL-ME-UP FRIDAY// We all know how uplifting it is to listen to worship music throughout our day. However, sometimes we may forgot the power in truly hearing and understanding the lyrics and glorifying God in our listening.

Brooke Ligertwood has shared a 7-day devotional series along with her worship album SEVEN. Each day, the study, accompanied by one of her songs, focuses on a different letter written to the churches in the book of Revelation. The devotional looks at themes of communion, devotion, discipleship, repentance, and more. Give it a listen!

FILL-ME-UP FRIDAY// When the semester is busy and waking up early for those 8am lectures gets harder, we can get distracted from spending intentional time with God. Cultivating Habits of Grace is a short five-day video devotional on spiritual disciplines that talks through simple patterns of listening, talking and belonging to God to help us to know and enjoy Jesus better. Each episode is lead by David Mathis and adapted from his book "Habits of Grace: Enjoying Jesus through the Spiritual Disicplines".

Maybe take the opportunity to share this devotional with a group of friends or family and work through each day together. This is a great way to stay accountable and get each other excited about God's goodness!

STAYING ROOTED//. How wonderful that “the Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace” (Psalm 29:11). We are strengthened in community by giving and receiving in the shared mission of the church. How we live together as a church is so important in our witness of God’s love to the world around us. It isn’t always easy standing unified against persecution and offense, but we have the strengthening support of Christian community, which cannot be found anywhere else, to helps us respond in love with gentleness and kindness. Let us rejoice in the strength that we receive from Christ and community and search for ways to give and serve in the shared mission!

"What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?" James 2:14.

On Sunday, Ryan unpacked the word of James in Week 11 of our ongoing series. From scripture, he charged us to have a genuine faith that is evidenced by works! Listen to the full sermon podcast from the link in our bio.

HOW CAN YOU SERVE YOUR COMMUNITY THIS HOLIDAY?// Our Next Gen Ministries and Justice Ministry are excited to each be running holidays clubs this June and they are looking for a team of volunteers and leaders!

Both the Bosch Holiday Club and the Mokone Primary Holiday Club in Langa are running from the 27 June - 1 July for Grades R-7. This is a fantastic opportunity to serve our church in two different contexts and bring the hope of Jesus to children in their holidays!

There are a variety of different serving opportunities. We encourage you to have a look and get involved in whichever way possible.

There is a looking in time for the Bosch Holiday Club this Sunday (29 May) in the Small Hall from 17:00-17:30pm where you can hear what the holiday club is about and ask any questions.

Find the link in our bio to sign up for the Mokone Primary Holiday Club.

HOW DO I SERVE GOD WITH MY DEGREE?// This is a question that many of us as students ponder during the years we are in university. Good news - there are answers! For those of us in the Engineering and Built Environment faculty (EBE), here is a great, practical example of combining your faith with the God given skills developed in your degrees!

Engineering Ministries International (EMI) South Africa is hosting a networking conference of global professionals to share stories that will inspire and equip you to integrate passion for ministry and your degree in EBE. This conference is aimed at students looking for opportunities as young professionals and will be a fun and safe space to network, see the incredible projects that are changing peoples lives, and learn about what it looks like to serve God's Kingdom and practice in the Built Environment!

The conference starts on Thursday 26 May. Click on the link in our bio for more details and DM us if you have any questions.

"But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9

When work and life challenges you, use your reliance and trust in God to glorify him! He will strengthen you and also give you peace beyond understanding.
