โ Confirmation 2026: โProfessing Christโ
On Sunday 1 February 2026, 12 confirmands from Welgelegen congregation stood in front of the altar and recited their confirmation vow, professing their faith in front of all those gathered. This vow reflects a deep commitment to reject all evil and to align oneโs life with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
The sermon, conducted by Priest Michael Hardenberg, was based on the Bible text from Matthew 10:32:
โTherefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven."
During the divine service, Priest Daniel Julius, parent of one of the confirmands, was called upon to serve.

The confirmands received a special message from Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider. He reminded them that Jesus Christ loves them unconditionally and that His teaching is a guiding light, not a burden. They were encouraged to live as disciples of Christ by loving their neighbour and professing their faith without fear, trusting that the Lord will always support those who serve Him.

We now look forward to welcoming our confirmands into the ranks of the ๐ฌ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ด ๐ฃ๐ฒ๐ผ๐ฝ๐น๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ (๐ฌ๐ฃ๐๐) movement. This special milestone will be marked by their first divine service with the Young People on Sunday, 15 February 2026, conducted by our Apostle, Gavin Van Der Hoven.
