Catholic Heart Attack

After suffering a heart attach and having quadruple bypass surgery, a man woke up to find himself in a Catholic hospital with nuns taking care of him. As they nursed him back to health, one of the nuns asked him if he had health insurance.
"No," he replied, "No health insurance."
"Do you have any money in the bank?" asked the nun.
"No. No money in the bank."
The nun asked, "Do you have any relatives you could ask for help?"
The man replied, "I only have a spinster sister, who is a nun."
At this the nun because irritated. "Nuns are not spinsters. Nuns are married to God!"
"OK, then," said the man. "Send the bill to my brother-in-law."

God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.

The problem is that many people, after being persuaded, find that this truth is both liberating and devastating.

It's liberating because it endorses our inborn desire for joy. And it's devastating because it reveals that we don't desire God the way we should. What do you do when you discover the good news that God wants you to be content in him, but then find that you aren't?

If you are battling sin and it seems like you can't let it go, remember the cost. If you have in your hand a dessert that is beautifully decorated and made from the sweetest ingredients, it seems like nothing will stop you from eating it. However if a gun is put to your head, you will not even consider it. Remember that the enemy has a gun, waiting to pull the trigger once you eat it.. In all this God says He loves you the way you are but loves you too much to keep you that way, so go to Him He is waiting for you..
