The Senior’s Ministry and the Young Women’s Ministry will be coming together on 28 March for a truly special gathering.

We are looking forward to a gentle, meaningful time of connection and creativity. Our seniors will be guided through a few watercolour and collage techniques, exploring their stories through art. In turn, the young women will have the gift of sitting, listening, and receiving the sacred stories shared as each artwork unfolds.

It promises to be a beautiful exchange of wisdom, creativity, and presence 🙏🏽

Our Sunday school dedicated the past few weeks to learning about the events leading up to Easter.

We had all their work on display, these leasons included :
The passover (Old Testament)
Palm Sunday
The last Supper
Jesus the servant king (when he washed the disciples feet)
The crucifixion
The resurrection

They also prepared a skit for Easter Friday service showcasing the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ✝️

Refuge Sunday school teacher's attended SU training workshop that was attended by 170 children ministry teschers. Wow wow wow Our Cups are overflowing.

Just a summary of the few workshops covered :
-Fundraising resource - management.
-Parent connect.
-Building Team and development .
-Safe spaces.
-Teaching children how to pray.

Including practical tools in weekly lessons.

Our teachers commited more than 7 hours of their time this Saturday to add to their faith and knowledge. Thank you Teacher's🩷🙏🏻🛐

The Young Women's Ministry gathered for the first time in 2025 and our time together was beyond blessed.

Our theme, "I'll meet you at victory" inspired tales of victory as we shared our vision boards for the year ahead and reminisced on the year we left behind.

Each young women was asked to choose a word to encourage the group, and what a powerful combined message was delivered, preparing us to sit down and discuss our plan for 2025.

We introduced our Emotion Chart, huge thank you to sis Andrea for this, our children were so excited to share their feelings. They did an emotional check in on arrival and then updated their charts before leaving too.

We also began our new series, The Fruit Of The Spirit, which will be our focus over the next few weeks.

Day 1 of Sunday School for 2025 was a success! We are thrilled to welcome our children back and are so grateful to God for protecting them over the holiday season. We jumped right into the activities—can you guess what our kids are working on?
We’re excited to share the final result with you, as they are truly committed to their classwork.

Stay tuned for some exciting changes in the coming weeks!

A huge thank you to the teachers who attended our meeting on Saturday. Thank you sis Rose and Sis Andrea for your valuable support. We also appreciate everyone who has donated reusable goods. If you still have items to contribute, please drop them off with us. We start our 2025 curriculum this upcoming Sunday, specifically designed to give children the tools they need to create freely, based on their unique learning styles and creativity.

The Sunday School had their annual anniversary with the children sharing their gifting through song, dance, and a recount of the nativity of Jesus. 🎶

We ended our year with a Christmas party to celebrate. 🎄

We're so proud of the children and so excited for 2025. We pray for a blessed holiday for them and their families. 🙏🏽
