Silence is Not an Option

“Then they said to one another, ‘We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we remain silent. If we wait until morning light, some punishment will come upon us. Now therefore, come, let us go and tell the king’s household.’” (2 Kings 7:9 NKJV)

The siege was on by Aram, and people were starving in Samaria. Four lepers decided to surrender to the enemy, hoping they’d be allowed to live. When they went to the location of the enemy camp, the lepers discovered the soldiers had fled. The Lord had made the soldiers hear sounds that caused them believe allies were approaching to help.

In their haste to flee, the army had abandoned all of their food and valuables. The lepers plundered what they could, storing as much as possible for themselves. Then they realized that what they were doing was not right. People were starving just over the hill!

Remaining silent was not an option. They felt compelled to share the good news of their discovery. Is this not what happened when the shepherds heard the good news of Christ’s birth? They went to the place of his birth, and felt compelled to spread the good news when they returned to their everyday lives.

When we discover and experience the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ, remaining silent is not an option. We are compelled to share the good news to a lost and dying world. One of the main reasons God allows us to remain in this world is so we can help fulfill the Great Commission for our generation.

Today, ask yourself:
How do I share the good news of Christ with others? What can I do to help the cause of Christ?

My Dear Friend,

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. -2 Corinthians 3:17

I hear the Spirit of the Lord saying you are coming out. God says you have been in that place of bo***ge long enough. You don’t belong there. It’s time for you to get your authority back. It is time to get your shout back. It is time for you to make war in the heavenlies! Today I am serving the enemy notice from Jesus on your behalf that he has to open the prison doors so that you can come out!

When you come out you won’t just wander around. God is anointing you so you can fulfill your prophetic destiny. The environment you have been in has served as an incubator for greatness and success. The stuff you have been through has prepared you for where you are going. You truly are better under pressure. You will embrace the challenges and the assignments God has placed before you. There is a problem in the world and you are called to bring a solution to it.

You aren’t going to come out until you begin to declare and decree God’s promises for your life. It’s time to quit complaining about what you are facing and allow God to process you so that you can come out on the other side fully mature ready to preach the Gospel and advance the Kingdom of God. It is time to quit being so passive.

When God puts you in a position no man can take you out of it. You can’t come out of your place of bo***ge if you don’t know that the prison doors have been opened for you. No more distractions, no more struggles, no more death, no more disease, no more settling or living little or in a place that you don’t belong! This is your year of Jubilee! It’s your time for Kingdom dominion. You have the governing power and authority to rule and reign and control your environment. God has given you the power to take direction, total control and command of your destiny. You will begin dictating your day instead of your day dictating you. The prison doors that have been limiting you and keeping you in bo***ge are now open in Jesus name!

As you worship, God is releasing something into your life. An impartation is taking place. That could be a fresh infilling of His Spirit. Perhaps God is releasing an attribute of His nature—such as faith, courage, strength or hope.
