Dear Windsor Park family,

We share an important announcement regarding our Rector.

With mixed emotions, we bid farewell to our beloved 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥. While we are sad to say goodbye, we thank him sincerely for his dedicated love, labour and faithful service to Windsor Park. We wish him God’s richest blessings as he takes on his new responsibility as the 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐮𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

At the same time, with joy in our hearts, we warmly welcome our 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡 to Windsor Park.

We are grateful that he has accepted the call to serve our congregation. May his ministry among us be richly blessed.

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴

This morning, we gathered for a very special Friendship Service, welcoming friends and family into our circle of faith. Our District Rector, Priest Clayton Barnes, along with Priests Potgieter and Jaftha, led the services, while our Young People took an active role in serving the Lord by assisting with door keeping, ushering, and various other activities throughout the morning.

📖 𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝: “And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.” - 1 John 5:8 (NKJV)

💡 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞:
We receive salvation in Christ visibly by receiving the sacraments.

📝 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲:
■ The divine Sonship of Jesus Christ is acknowledged by God the Father.
■ The Spirit, the water, and the blood point to the saving effect of the sacraments administered in the church of Christ.
■ The sacraments are necessary for obtaining salvation in its fulness.

We closed off this beautiful morning by celebrating the musical talents of our Sunday school children and supporting our seniors with a wonderful cake sale! 🍰🎶

Thank you to everyone who brought a friend along. Let us continue to embrace His love and follow His Spirit, which leads us to salvation.

𝐅𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 | 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 | 𝟐𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲

𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦

On Sunday, 30 August, we gathered for a festive divine service reflecting on the Fifth Commandment, focusing on God's command to respect, protect, and preserve human life. The service was conducted by our Rector Priest Jason, and we were further enriched as Priest Grant Roberts was also called upon to serve along.
The service was a profound experience of fellowship, further blessed by a special 25th wedding anniversary blessing for Brother Marius and Sister Pamela Fredericks.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐭: Exodus 20:13 (NKJV) "You shall not murder."

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞: God alone is Lord over life and death.

𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲:
■ The Fifth Commandment serves to protect human life.
■ Jesus Christ expands on the meaning of this commandment: violence already has its roots in anger and hatred, which are themselves violations of God's will.
■ We are called upon to respect, protect, and promote life.
■ Even if we at times fail in our endeavour to follow God's commandments, the following applies to the humble: His mercy is greater than our imperfection.

The divine service concluded majestically with the rendition of Hymn No. 386 from the Choir Hymn Collection, performed by the choir and organ. Thereafter, the Rector and the Anniversary couple extended warm greetings to the congregation.

Our precious little ones were showered with extra love today, as the ministers set aside their own duties to personally lead the Sunday school lesson - a heartfelt gesture that gave our devoted Sunday school teachers a well-deserved rest, and reminded every child just how dearly they are cherished in our congregation. The day left the congregation with a profound sense of grace, gratitude, and renewed fellowship.

𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴

Sunday, 16 August 2026 began with a special surprise for Windsor Park Congregation. Our new District Rector, Priest Clayton Barnes, held our 7am Divine Service, stepping in for Priest Grant Sands, whom he called to serve alongside him.

Later that morning, the Windsor Park Young People had the privilege of attending the 9am Divine Service at Altona Congregation, as part of our Dare 2 Care outreach. The YP also served in the choir in joyful song.

They were greatly blessed by the service, which came with its own surprise - a visit from District Apostle Peter Lambert, who conducted the Divine Service.

📖 Both services were based on the word from John 17:20–21 (excerpt) (NKJV):
"I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one."

💡Message:
God grants us oneness,
and we do everything in our
power to preserve it.

📝 Summary:
■ Jesus not only prays to the Father for the disciples of that time, but also for all those who will come to believe through their word.
■ The objective of Jesus' prayer is the unity of all believers. This unity is founded upon Him and is meant to be an identifying feature of the one church of Christ.
■ Oneness is a gift of God and a mission for humankind.

🫶 Following the service, the WPYP completed the donation handover to the Altona congregation. We extend our thanks to Rector Priest Spencer Thomas for his words of appreciation on behalf of Altona. The morning continued with a time of fellowship, during which they were also delighted by a pop-in visit from DR Clayton Barnes, fresh from leading our own 7am service. The YP concluded with a group photograph in front of the church.

💜 We thank everyone who contributed donations, assisted with transport, and attended. May we continue to DARE 2 CARE through service and fellowship.

𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 | 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 | 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐞𝟐𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

On Sunday morning, 02 August, our Young People joined hands in fellowship with the Young People of Brackenfell and Durbanville congregations, gathering together at NAC Brackenfell Congregation to witness the live audio-visual transmitted Young People Divine Service, conducted by our District Apostle, Peter Lambert, from New Apostolic Church Saxonsea in Atlantis.

𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭: 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟑:𝟏𝟐 (𝐍𝐊𝐉𝐕) -
"Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, and longsuffering."

Through the word, we were reminded that as God's chosen people, we are called to:

- Reflect Christ through compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
- Wear the garments of Christ by demonstrating His love through our daily actions.
- Live a life of gratitude, continually praising God and saying, "Thank You."

It was a fitting reminder of everything our initiative stood for — serving others with love, humility, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Following the service, the young people lingered in fellowship together, marking the moment with photographs and conversation as they looked back on a week of meaningful outreach and service.

May we continue to wear the garments of Christ each day, allowing His love and righteousness to shine through our words, actions, and service to others.
