Observatory Congr celebrated Good Friday Divine Service.

Text: john 19vs30 So when Jesus received the sour wine, He said, "it is finished" and bowing His head He gave up his spirit.

Bible reading and the choir concluded the divine service with the leaflet "When i survey the wondrous cross"

Our Divine service was conducted by our newly elected Distr Rector Pillay and assisted by our Rector Justin Louw.

Text. Luke 19vs36-37 And as he went, many spread the clothes on the road. Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of disciples began to rejoice and prayed God with loud voices for all the mighty works they have seen.

We were served by our district rector Jason Smal and assisted by our rector Pr. Justin Louw.
The Text JOHN 11 VS 43 Now when he had said these things. He cried with a loud voice "Lazarus come forth.

After service we had fellowship and said farewell to our Distr Rector, as Obs congregation now falls under the area of Claremont Distr.

Confirmation 2026
"Professing Christ"

On Sunday 01 February 2026 our Rector Pr Justin Louw conducted the divine service and was assisted by Pr Raymond Gibbs.

The service was based on the Bible text from Matthew 10 vs 32. "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him i will also confess before my Father who is in heaven.

The confirmands were called to the alter and in preparation the choir sang "The lord bless thee" The 5 confirmands were called to recite their vow "I renounce Satan"
The Rector shared the message from our Chief Apostle Jean Luc Schneider.
As the congregation await the confirmands into the ranks of the youth.
