Hands Together Ministries

Hands Together Ministries HANDS TOGETHER is a non-profit Organization that aims to serve the local communities by providing as We can all learn from each other.

WHY: There are no words in which I can express my passion for helping those who have little to nothing. This passion began when I was just a child and having my own harsh living experiences in poverty, I have felt pain and sadness. There were periods in my childhood where I experienced the cruel nature of life and its unexpected darkness. I know what it means to have nothing; no food on the table

and no money to buy food, never knowing where or when my next meal will be. As I have grown through my struggles and overcoming roadblocks, I have been given a chance to now extend to others what has been given to me. I have donated as much as I can whenever I can; whether it be collecting housing supplies, food, toys, and other goods, or donating my time and giving of myself. Giving them recognition of their individual struggles and pains, but not treating them as broken people, we become brothers and sisters and lend our helping hands and prayers. It is my intention to install HOPE into the people and their abilities to plunge into their hidden strength and raise up to work together and build a strong and sustaining community. The main word that expresses our inspiration is "ubuntu'' which is a South African term that translates into "human kindness" or also "human-ness; humanity towards others; and "the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity." Giving more of ourselves such as talents, such as plumbers, carpenters, or other skills and abilities for simple tasks and assistance. The connections we create with each individual through our efforts in helping them is what roots hope into these people, which we in return hope they will extend a hand when they have an opportunity. Hands Together Non-Profit Organization wants to link hands with you and anyone willing to give more of themselves in order to bring HOPE and help change lives. Not only to the people that you will be helping, but we hope you are changed through the experience as well by seeing and hearing their life stories. I want to thank ALL past and present volunteers that I have worked with that have been my support and help that has given me this opportunity to create something bigger. Through the extension of their hands in helping the people and showing them the light, wanting them to believe in humanity. With their encouragement, motivation, time, and generous donations, they have put me in a position to continue to build, increase, and empower the voice within the people.

Thank you to a few of the current volunteers, especially to Cindy, Jenny, and Rachel, whom have helped me begin this site and assisting in spreading awareness of my efforts in helping the local struggling people. Their helping hands have linked together in their time here and are working together in bringing smiles to the people's faces. I appreciate them for going shopping to purchase goods and toys for the children at a local Township Kindergarten. Others such as Doughton, Christian, Mary, Marlin, Beti, Lisa Kabula, Pia, Sarah, Sonja, Dani, have also given their efforts in making play dough (and playing with the play dough), sorting goods, purchasing beds, and also taking time out of their trips to visit the Townships and bringing colour to their lives by painting their walls. I want to thank these types of volunteers for their love, support, encouragement, and dedication towards my cause and my vision and their willingness to help within the Township and work with the people.

Hands together would like to thank Mr Martin and Mrs Barbara Williner from Visp (VS), Switzerland for their generous donation toward our cause. With their donation, we are able to enrich the lives of so many struggling people (men, women, and children) within the community. Many thanks to your daughter, Cindy, whom has warmed my heart with her loving and caring nature. Without her motivation and positive encouragement, I am now able to enhance my relationships with my volunteers and their communities overseas. Cape Town and Hands Together wants to extend our love and gratitude, and may God Bless you!
