Hulle was verstom.

Is iets vir My onmoontlik?”

Amen.

Psalm 104:1–2
Praise the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty. He wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent.

Lord our God, our Father in heaven, in Jesus Christ name with all our hearts we want to thank you for giving us joy on earth and for sending us your radiant light from heaven. We praise you for the light you give our hearts, the light that lets us find great joy together because we become one in you, one in your Spirit, one in awaiting your promised good. Grant that we may be your children. May we always find the paths where you can go with us and give us what we cannot give ourselves. May our whole life glorify you and our every breath belong to you. Through communion with you may we remain in your safekeeping in body, soul, and spirit. For all you have done and for all you will do for us, we ask you to accept our thanks through Jesus the Christ! Amen.

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds."
2 Cor 10:4

Mike was a runner. He participated in a few races , half marathons and finished comrades ! Even done iron man.

Me on the other hand, are NOT a runner. I tried … It felt great at first, but not too much later my chest constricted. My legs felt like they weighed 100kg . I started marking out goals.

If I can make it to the next streetlight.

If I can make it to the stop sign.

Finally, I sat on the curb in an attempt to catch my breath. I had barely run a 2k.

This running thing was for someone else. Not me.

Later, I learned the first mile is often the hardest, even for accomplished runners. You are finding your stride. Your lungs and heart and legs are moving into new territory from sedentary to active.

I gave up too soon.

Paul could have turned around and given up.
But he didn't. It wasn't about how great a speaker he was or how inspiring he might be in person. All that was required of him was to keep running. The results would come through the power of Christ.

Maybe you've started the healing process or another journey and it seems hard. Or perhaps you tried it once and it didn't work, so you gave up.

Put your spiritual shoes back on! Your Heavenly Father wants to bring you freedom too, and He promises to be in the race with you.

Prayer, Heavenly Father, I'm putting my shoes on. I'll celebrate every step forward and run toward the finish line with my arms in the air praising You. We also pray for the people that have trained hard and running the Comrades marathon this weekend, keep them healthy and safe Lord, In Jesus Name

Romans 5:5 " And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." Jesus promised His Holy Spirit to everyone who accepts Him as Lord and Saviour. Remember that Christ can change your life. As you open your heart to Him, a new, unsurpassed strength will fill your soul and enable you to do those things that are pleasing to God. This change and new strength are the work of the Spirit and will assure you of Christ's presence in your life. If you have the Spirit of Christ you will know the reality of His holy presence. Love for Him will radiate from your heart and life. I praise You, Lord, because I can experience the power of Your living presence through the work of the Holy Spirit and so I can love You with a pure heart. Amen.
