This Heritage Month, we join South Africa in celebrating the beautiful diversity of our country, cultures, languages and the heritage we carry from one generation to the next.

Revelation 7:9 (NIV) gives us an even greater picture: every nation, tribe, people and language united before the Lamb of Jesus Christ.

Although cultures and languages differ, in God’s Word, there is a place for each one of us.

76 young lives reached with God’s Word.

There was great excitement at Simondium Primary School, a rural school nestled between Paarl and Franschhoek, as 76 learners received their very own Bibles through our Bibles for Grade 7 Learners project.

For these young people, receiving a personal Bible means having God’s Word to turn to for guidance as they step into the next chapter of their lives.

“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12 (ESV)

Zechariah 7:9-10 reminds us to look beyond ourselves, to care for the vulnerable and treat one another with compassion and dignity.

God calls us not only to speak about justice and mercy, but to live them out in our everyday actions. In a world where it can be easy to overlook the needs of others, may we choose kindness, extend grace and be willing to help those who need it most.

May our faith be seen in the way we love, serve and stand alongside others.

23 young lives receive the gift of God’s Word!

As part of the Bible Society of South Africa’s Bibles for Grade 7 Learners project, 23 Afrikaans Bibles were distributed to the joyful learners of The Valley Primary School in the semi-rural community near Durbanville.

It is our hope and prayer that each Bible becomes a source of hope, guidance and inspiration as these young students take the next steps in their journey of faith!
