The most powerful force on earth is love! It is not hatred, or anger, or even fear, but love. And we, as Christians, spell love J-E-S-U-S.

In fact, 1 John 4:8 tells us that “he who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” True love is a verb. It rolls up its sleeves. Yes, it goes beyond comfort and safety. It is more concerned about giving than receiving.

In John 15:13, Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” The most powerful weapon we have as believers is love. When the love of Christ dominates you, overwhelms you and saturates you, people get saved. Love changes people’s hearts – not hatred, fear, or intimidation.

To love is not a feeling, it is a decision. C. S. Lewis said, “Christian love, either towards God or towards man, is an affair of the will.”

He who believes in Me…out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. —John 7:38

A river reaches places which its source never knows. And Jesus said that, if we have received His fullness, “rivers of living water” will flow out of us, reaching in blessing even “to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8) regardless of how small the visible effects of our lives may appear to be. We have nothing to do with the outflow— “This is the work of God, that you believe…” (John 6:29). God rarely allows a person to see how great a blessing he is to others.
