After the Divine Service for the Departed, our young people continued a beautiful tradition by visiting the homes of sick and bereaved members of the congregation. With joyful hearts they gathered to sing hymns of comfort and hope.

Many of the young people walked from home to home and some even brought along their instruments, adding a special touch to the singing and fellowship. Through their presence and songs, they shared encouragement and reminded our members that they are loved and remembered.

The members were deeply grateful for the visit and for the young people who continue this meaningful tradition of bringing comfort, faith, and joy through music. 🙏

Our congregation gathered for the Divine Service for the Departed, opening with the hymn “Love Divine, All Loves Excelling.” The service was held by Rector Steven Poole, assisted by Priest Mark Beelders.

Through the choir’s beautiful rendition of “Here is My Soul,” we were reminded why we come to the house of the Lord to receive nourishment and blessing for our souls.

The message encouraged us to reflect on the power of Jesus Christ over death, recalling how He called Lazarus from the tomb. Even when the body had decayed, the soul heard the voice of the Lord. In the same way, our souls today must listen when God speaks.

We were reminded that faith cannot grow in isolation and that our desire should always be to please God and respond obediently when He calls.

During the act of serving the departed, the congregation sang Hymn 411 verse 3, reflecting on the hope of one day seeing our Saviour face to face.

With thankful hearts we continue to pray, asking the Lord to use us for His work and to bring help and grace to those in the beyond.

JOYFUL PREPARATION FOR THE DIVINE SERVICE FOR THE DEPARTED

Our children gathered for a beautiful time of preparation as they lifted their voices in joyful praise, singing heartfelt hymns in anticipation of the Divine Service for the Departed.

After their practice, the children joined the ministers to help clean and prepare God’s house for the divine service. With cheerful hearts they learned the importance of caring for the Lord’s house while enjoying fellowship together.

May the prayers and preparations of our children and congregation be felt in yonder world. 🙏✨

On Sunday, 22 February, we witnessed something truly special, a child being welcomed into the family of Christ through Holy Baptism.

In the beginning, God created the world in perfect harmony. Although sin entered and disrupted that balance, His grace remains greater. Baptism reminds us that through Jesus Christ, we are washed clean, embraced by God’s love and given a new spiritual beginning.

This sacred act was conducted by Priest Tyman and witnessed by the full congregation. As this precious child was baptised in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, a strong spiritual foundation was laid, rooted in faith, forgiveness and salvation. While none of us are perfect, God’s mercy is always available when we turn to Him.

May this child grow to reflect Christ’s love and light in the world.

On Monday, 9 February, our Young People gathered for a powerful Catch-Up evening centred on the theme “Don’t be afraid, just believe” (Mark 5:36). Ethan, Keano, Adrian and Cole led the presentation with confidence and clarity, having prepared well beforehand to deliver a meaningful message.

The discussion explored what “Faith over fear” means for 2026, choosing trust in God over anxiety, just as Daniel and his friends did. Practical steps like shifting focus to God, declaring belief, and strengthening our prayer life were shared.

Calvin Poole concluded the evening with upcoming activities, encouraging continued participation. All who attended listened attentively and left spiritually uplifted.
