Today Pastor Dane Mesane started on a new teaching series - Our Union with Christ | THE GREAT MYSTERY — PART 1

The mystery of Christ was never hidden from us, but hidden for us and now revealed through Christ.

Don’t let the curiosity of what you don’t have yet make you question your fellowship with the heavenly Father.

The Greek word mystērion speaks of something once concealed, but now disclosed. God is not withholding Himself from us—He has made the mystery known through Christ and revealed it by His Spirit.

Just as husband and wife become one flesh, the believer has been joined to Christ. The moment we believed, we were brought into union with Jesus.

“But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”
— 1 Corinthians 6:17

Every joining requires a leaving. The old identity, the old man, and everything that defined us apart from Christ must give way to the reality of who we now are in Him.

The more we behold Christ, the more the mystery becomes visible in our lives.

Today our women ministry- SweetLips 💋 gathered with so much excitement for a Spring Afternoon Tea 🍵 🍰.

It was indeed a beautiful day of sisterhood, truth and discovering their identity in Christ. SweetLips were reminded that they are not defined by the world, their past or their feelings, they are who Christ says they are.

Our SweetLips Sisterhood Ceremony was a special moment of belonging and purpose. As each woman received her lips brooch💋, it became a reminder that everything begins in the heart, and what fills our hearts will eventually flow from our lips.

They laughed, shared, connected and celebrated one another,

SweetLips made a powerful declaration “My heart agrees with Christ. My lips agree with Christ. My life will reflect Christ💋❤️”.

Today Pastor Tersia Mesane continued with the Jesus Series - Part 7: Title: A NEW YOU

In Christ, we are a new creation. We are no longer called to live according to our former way of life. Ephesians 4 teaches us to PUT OFF • BE RENEWED • PUT ON.

Put off lying, corrupt speech, bitterness, wrath, anger, evil speaking and malice. Speak truth. Let your words build others up and give grace to those who hear. Be kind, tenderhearted and forgiving, just as God in Christ forgave you. (Ephesians 4:25–32)

But putting off goes even deeper: anything in our thinking that contradicts the truth of Christ concerning who we are must be put off. If Christ says you are forgiven, don’t continue wearing condemnation. If Christ says you are accepted, don’t allow rejection to define you. If Christ has made you new, don’t keep identifying yourself by the old. Be renewed in the spirit of your mind and let your thinking come into agreement with the truth that is in Jesus. (Ephesians 4:20–24)

We must GROW IN CHRIST. Spiritual maturity is allowing our thoughts, words, attitudes and responses to increasingly reflect the Christ who lives in us.

Put off what contradicts Christ.
Be renewed by His truth.
Put on what reflects Christ.

Today sis Maggie preached on BENT OUT OF SHAPE | Luke 13:10–17

For 18 years, a woman lived bent over, but when Jesus saw her, He called her forward.

She had to move from her position of limitation into the place where Jesus was calling her. And then came the declaration: “Woman, you are set free!” Jesus laid His hands on her, and immediately she straightened up.

Her freedom was announced, and her life straightened.

Sometimes our condition can convince us to remain in a position God never intended for us. But even while bent, she still stepped forward. The marginalised stepped into privilege. The bound stepped into freedom.

Jesus is still calling us forward:
Straighten up. Move forward. Choose different. Change your position.

Because when we position ourselves in Christ, we can finally look up! 🙌🏽🔥

Your mind is still striving for what the cross already finished. 🙌

"It is finished." — John 19:30. Not being finished, not almost finished. Finished. Healing, finished. Grace, finished. Prosperity, finished. Love, kindness, long suffering — all finished. The whole Christian life isn't reaching for what's missing; it's your mind catching up to what Jesus already completed on the cross.

Today our Pastor Dane Mesane continued to preach on the Jesus series | Part 4 | SAINT OR SINNER?

The job of the Church is to help believers grow into spiritual maturity, and maturity begins with knowing who you are in Christ.

If you believe in Jesus, Heaven does not call you a sinner trying to become a saint. In Christ, you are a saint learning to live in agreement with what God has already declared about you.

“To those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be his holy people…” 1 Corinthians 1:2

The moment you believed, something happened at the deepest level: you became a new creation. Your spirit was made alive, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and you were made righteous through Jesus Christ.

This doesn’t mean believers never struggle with sin. It means sin no longer defines your identity. Your behaviour does not get the final word about who you are, Jesus does.

As He is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:17

So when you fall, don’t run away from Jesus. Return to the truth of who you are in Him. His love for you is not dependent upon perfect behaviour.

Romans 8:1 — There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

You have been made new. You have been made righteous. You belong to Jesus. Now renew your mind and live from your new identity.
