The Road to Rest Part 2! As Hebrews reminds us, God’s rest is still available, inviting us to abandon our attempts to perfect what He has already finished.
The gospel isn’t about making bad people good, it’s about making dead people alive. Jesus came to lead us back to the original rest that was lost in Eden. Unbelief often keeps us from experiencing the fullness of what God has prepared for us. The purpose of the Word is to bring us into a place where we stop striving between good and evil and begin living from the reality that Christ lives in us.
The road to rest begins when we choose to believe His Word and let the Word do the work! 🔥

So many of us spend our lives striving for what Jesus has already finished. But Scripture points us to a different way: a life lived from a place of rest, not toward it!

In a world constantly trying to silence, control, or cause us to doubt our sound, we need to know what we believe and why we believe it. Our doctrine has a sound and if that sound is uncertain, we can easily find ourselves mixing the truth of God’s Word with the philosophies, ideologies, and teachings of the world.

We are called to hold firmly to sound doctrine, to remain rooted in Christ, and to grow into spiritual maturity.

Your sound is needed in this world. You were created for such a time as this. 🔥
When we know who we are in Christ and what we believe, we can walk with God-confidence and make a clear, certain sound.

Don’t let the enemy silence your sound! �Let your doctrine be sound. Let your faith be certain. Let your life speak 🔥

Rest is not simply a destination, it is a spiritual habitation and an understanding of who we are in Christ. This morning Pastor Aidan Jeffery shared a profound message.

Hebrews 4 reminds us that God’s rest is found in His finished work, where we stop striving to improve what He has already perfected 🔥

But the road to rest requires a journey of understanding.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. And in Mark 4, He reveals that the condition of our hearts determines how we receive the seed of His Word. The seed is never the problem, the question is whether our hearts are receptive enough to allow the Word to take root, grow, and produce fruit.

Jesus speaks of a 30-fold, 60-fold, and 100-fold understanding. The journey is from what is seen, through what is unseen, into the eternal reality of the Spirit. The 100-fold understanding is the place of rest. The place where we live from our position in Christ and experience the fullness of what He has already accomplished.

The road to rest begins with good soil, a renewed understanding, and a heart fully receptive to Jesus.

The question is: What kind of soil is your heart today?
This is only the beginning of our journey into living life from a 100-fold understanding! What an amazing part 1 to start off our series!
