Today at Teens Ministry, we spoke about love — not just the kind the world celebrates on Valentine’s Day, but the kind God commands us to live.

We reflected on 1 Corinthians 13:4–7, 1 John 3:8, and John 13:34, and one truth stood out:
Love is not just a feeling. It’s a command.
And that command includes loving ourselves.

It’s easy to tell someone else, “You are loved.” It’s harder to look in the mirror and say, “I love you.”

So today, the teens wrote love letters to themselves — what they love about who they are, what they struggle with, and words of encouragement for growth.
Because loving yourself isn’t pride.
It’s obedience.

As we step into Valentine’s Day, may we remember: love is patient, love is kind — even toward ourselves. 🤍
