Diocese of False bay Mother's Union

On Saturday the 8th August we had the privilege to celebrate our Mary Sumner Service and the 150th Celebration of Mother’s Union globally.
Mother’s Union right across The Diocese of Falsebay brave the cold to attend and celebrate the auspicious occasion.
Our Celebrant and preacher was Bishop Stafford Moses
Our theme " Join in, join us Mother’s Union is changing was beautiful portrait in the Bishop’s sermon.
Gospel reading was Matthew 17 v 14-20.
Beautiful Liturgy done by our Chaplain Rev Loraine Von Willingh.
We were blessed with Clergy from across our Diocese.
The Liturgy dancers of St. Paul’s Faure minister to us on " Song of hope" which was absolutely fitted with our sermon and theme.
Our eldest member Johanna Williams 91 years of age lit our 150th candle.
Aunty Henna is still very active in the MU by attending services, we thank God for Anti Henna who is one of our stalwarts.
To God be the glory great things He has done.
Now we looking forward to our 150th celebration of Mother’s Union existence globally which will be hosted in Southern Africa for the first time in history in the Diocese of KZN

Mary Sumner day celebration

Yesterday we celebrated our Mary Sumner day due to the taxi violence we had to postpone. Thank you Chaplain Loraine and Fr. Simon for a beautiful service. We brought our loafs of bread to the table by celebrating Mary Sumner, which will be used for the creche and the soup kitchen at Mary Magdalene. Thank you mother's for making our day blessed with wonderful fellowship. To the branch of Mary Magdalene, Rector, church wardens and Parish council Thank you for your hospitality. To our Gems thank you for gracing us with your presence I so much appreciate you all. To the member’s of our organization without you I'm nothing you hold my hands up high. To the branch of Wolseley thank you for coming to support the service, your made my day.
Let's continue to walk in the footsteps of Mary Sumner. Transform ourselves, heal and have faith.
May God's love for us be eternal.
