July 2025

Greetings dear friends

I hope this newsletter finds you in a good place. If not, then I pray that you will feel free to contact us at Embracing EVE. Should you have any prayer requests, I invite you to send a WhatsApp message to our Prayerline at 062 347 6695. We would love to lift you before the Lord in prayer, trusting Him to meet you at the point of your need.

At our event in June, Aunty Ellen Pakkies mentioned some of the injustices that were committed against her. Embracing EVE has therefore taken up the responsibility to cover and protect her, and she has agreed to allow us to arrange all her speaking engagements on her behalf. We are happy to share that we have received a request for her to be the keynote speaker on 20th September 2025 in Darling. We are presently finalizing the arrangements. Having said that, should you wish to host Aunty Ellen at your function or event, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be happy to assist.

Also, on the morning of the 7th June, Jamine Van Niekerk, the owner and CEO of J’s Hair & Beauty Salon, generously spoiled Aunty Ellen with beauty treatments. Aunty Ellen was spoilt with a new hairdo, a manicure, and a pedicure. Jamine also sponsored a few of the ladies with vouchers for a FREE Wash and Blow, as well as, together with Wendy, provided Aunty Ellen with a brunch before the event. Aunty Ellen was blown away by all the spoils, which she so deserved. J’s Hair and Beauty Salon is located c/o Voortrekker Road and Wedlandt Street. Parow. If you are looking for a spoil, you will find it there. You may contact Jamine at 063 976 3778 to make a booking.

This month, I would like to share a few thoughts about dreams. Let me share with you a small part of my testimony. This vision of Embracing EVE came as a result of a dream I had. I accepted the Lord in 1984, and at the time, I never imagined that the Lord would call me to start a ministry like this. In 1997, I received a prophetic word about starting a women’s ministry. I was still a young Christian, and I had no idea how to start a women’s ministry, so I decided to put it on the back burner and move forward with my life, believing that if God truly wanted me to start something, He would guide me when the time was right. 27 Years later, and here we are. The dream has come to fulfillment.

My friend, I know that you have had a few dreams as well. Something that the Lord has given you to do. It may not be something as big as Embracing EVE, but I know that there is something in your heart that you feel called to. I want to encourage you today not to give up on your dreams. Habakkuk 2:2 instructs us to “Write the vision and make it plain, so that the one who reads it can run with it.” Your dreams matter. Your voice matters. You matter. And God has not forgotten about you. You have been called to the kingdom for a time such as this, so stand tall and shine. It is the objective of Embracing EVE to help every woman make her dreams come true, and we would love to help you to do just that. The one thing that the Lord has impressed upon me is that He is making room for His girls to take their rightful place in the Kingdom. That includes you, so rise and take your place. I pray that you be all that God has called you to be. It’s your time!

The way forward

• The Launch of Embracing EVE. Our launch will take place on Saturday, 25 October 2025. We are having a few speakers. It will be an event not to be missed, so please diarise the date. We have been meeting with our speakers, and the excitement for the launch is building.

• Embracing EVE will host its first Women’s Camp 2026, which will take place in October 2026. We are still finalizing the venue and the price.

• The Eden Publisher
We are still seeking ladies to be part of our next collaboration for the upcoming book. If you are interested in participating in this project, please do not hesitate to contact us. Each of us has a story, and all our stories need to be told, so come and speak to us so that we can help you to tell your story.

• The Girls Academy
The vision of the Academy is to create a mentoring platform that provides girls with the tools to navigate life. The plan is to address issues like bullying, social media dangers, relationships, human trafficking, etc., just to mention a few. These are issues that are relevant to life as we know it today. We would also love to have parents, professional counselors, and social workers involved, as they know better what assistance our girls need. We want to prepare our girls for life after Matric, including the opportunity to assist them financially to either study further or start their own businesses. Hopefully the latter, since 60% of our youth are already unemployed. That is the dream. We are planning to start next year, so if you would love to get involved, we would love to meet and brainstorm with you.

Prayer Requests:
As with any Church or Christian Organization, we need your prayers. We are trusting God for big things, and we believe everything has to start with prayer. Please pray with us and for us. We endeavor to do all that God has called Embracing EVE to do. The vision is bigger than us, and we know that we cannot fulfill the vision on our own. We need the Lord’s guidance and direction in every decision we make, so we covet your prayers. As mentioned before, we would love to pray with and for you as well. So, if you need prayer, please send a message to our Prayerline, and we will pass it on to our intercessors.

Well, that is all for now. We are excited and look forward to connecting with you at these events.

Blessings

She Rises is a collabotion by 12 ladies telling a portion of their life story. Ladies, we need to tell our stories. The coming generations need to hear our stories of how we made it through. Life is becoming more difficult to navigate. Let's share our stories and give them hope.

Awake, awake, Oh Zion, clothe yourself with strength. Put on your garments of splendor, Oh Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and defiled will not enter you again. Shake off your dust; rise up, sit enthroned, Oh Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck, Oh captive Daughter of Z...
