VERSE
O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
-- Deuteronomy 5:29
KJV Holy Bible

DEVOTION
God cares deeply for our wellbeing and wants us to follow His commandments. To do this, we must pay attention to His voice. We can do this by reading the Bible, spending time in prayer, and opening our hearts to His will. This will help us to obey His instructions and keep His commands. Let us live in close relationship with Jesus and faithfully follow His Word in all we do.

PRAYER
Lord, we trust that you are speaking to us and we desire to listen to your voice. May your Kingdom come to our lives and our families. We entrust all our worries, tasks, and issues to you. May you bless them and all that surrounds us. We pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

VERSE
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
-- Jeremiah 29:13-14
KJV Holy Bible

DEVOTION
God is the Master Artist. Take time to explore His heart and uncover hidden treasures. Just like a painting, when we observe, we find more than we initially saw. Spend time with God and uncover joy in Jesus.

PRAYER
Lord, grant me the insight to take my time with this devotional thought. Let me open my eyes to the truth you want me to see. Help me to understand and appreciate the message you have for me. AMEN

VERSE
Jeremiah 22:29 (KJV) O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.

INSPIRATION
It is good to hear the word of the LORD. It is also good to read your Bible on your own, but that cannot replace hearing God’s word. That is one of the many reasons that it is important to go to Church and hear the word preached. This scripture has so much emotion and emphasis. As though they were already saying God’s word, but they weren’t listening, so now they are trying to gain their attention.

PRAYER
LORD, Your word is magnificent. Thank You for giving us Your word. Thank You for preserving it from generation to generation and having it translated so that more and more people can know Your word. I thank You that I have a Bible to read, and I pray for those who don’t. Bless me with a thirst and hunger for Your word so that I cannot get enough of it. In Jesus’s name, who is the Word. Amen.

VERSE
Romans 8:38-39 (KJV) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

INSPIRATION
What is the farthest that you went out of love? Love can make us do things that we wouldn’t normally do, but hurdles like distance, time, and effort can make even strong love crumble. What about the love of Jesus Christ? Not even DEATH was able to take that from us! Nothing can and nothing ever will. Believe this and we too can live a life free from fear, fear of judgment, fear of death.

PRAYER
God, nothing can separate me from Your love! I am so thankful for the strength and passion that instill in me, inciting a courage within that I must share. I ask that You use me as a tool for good, so that I can bring others to see Your love as I do. I ask all of this in accordance with Your desires, my loving and powerful creator. Amen.

VERSE
Judges 10:15 (KJV) And the children of Israel said unto the LORD, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day.

INSPIRATION
Here is the repeated cry of Israel again and again in the Book of Judges. They would serve the LORD for a time, depart from him to go after idols, then judgment would fall on them, then they would cry out to the LORD for help, and he would raise up a judge to deliver them. This cycle can mirror our struggles in the Christian life as well, but far better when we simply consistently follow God.

PRAYER
O ever-present Helper of my soul, if I have sinned, I turn to you to forgive me and deliver me. There is no one else to whom I can turn for help, nor am I able to fight the good fight of faith alone. I confess and forsake my sins by your grace, leave me not to drift in my own direction. Amen

VERSE

John 10:14-15 (KJV) I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

INSPIRATION

As looked at before in a previous passage by John [10:7,9-10], the metaphor for Jesus as a shepherd is one that provides an exquisite metaphor for the relationship between Him and His followers. Extended here, this relationship takes on a dialectal dimension, with the shepherd being known to the sheep, just as Jesus mentions He is known to His Father and His Father to Him. This alludes to the fact that whilst the relationship may appear one-sided and paternal in nature, it is also reciprocal; we must know Jesus as much as He knows us, we must endeavor in understanding God as much as He already understands everything.

PRAYER

To the son Jesus, and His Heavenly Father, hallowed be Your names, and sacred be the bond between us. Grant to me, the faculty to lift my soul and sacrament, and seek to understand better my light and my shepherd. In the name of the Son the Father, and the Holy Spirit which moves between us, Amen.

(((TRUST IN GOD AND DO GOOD)))

((IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO WORK FOR JUSTICE AS BEST AS WE CAN))

(VERSE)
Isaiah 10:1-3 (KJV) Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;
To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

(INSPIRATION)
Once again, God is warning the people against injustice. The poor and the vulnerable have always been the prey of those who would take advantage of others. It was happening in Israel then, and it is happening today. The widows of that time were particularly vulnerable as they were totally dependent on their husband or sons to provide for them. At least today, there is some protection, but not in all parts of the world, and not so that most families can keep their homes or their standard of living if they lose a spouse. And there are still those who will take advantage of the situation! We know that the poor are also open to be preyed upon. It is not uncommon for the poor to work several jobs in order to have a roof over their heads and food on the table for their children. However, these same people might only be able to get jobs that pay little and have no benefits and who can lose their jobs if they are sick or need to take time off. In parts of the world where it is difficult to find work, injustices can be worse. Some countries limit the opportunities for those who do not follow the religion of the majority, and they put barrier up that limit those who are given access to education. Unscrupulous business owners under-pay employees or lay them off as they rise in their positions so that they can hire people who will accept less pay. This warning from Isaiah is a reminder that even if they are not judged by the world, they will be judged by God. It is also a reminder that you can’t take it with you! It is our responsibility to work for justice as best we can, and to work for laws that will protect those who need it.

(PRAYER)
Lord, you love all of your children and you want them to be protected from those who would take advantage of any of them. We need your help to what we can do to protect those who can not protect themselves. Amen

(VERSE)
Acts 14:21-22 (KJV) And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

(INSPIRATION)
What is your mission field? Where is God sending you? For some, this may mean becoming a foreign missionary. For others, this may mean ministering to those in their cities and neighborhoods. For some, it may mean ministering to the people in their own homes. When you become a believer, you are called to share this message with others and to encourage others in their faith. No matter where God has called you, you will face hardships, but we must endure these hard times to see the kingdom of God. Be encouraged!

(PRAYER)
Dear God, give me eyes to see where you are sending me to minister. Give me a heart like yours that Is broken for those who do not know you. Give me the words to speak and share your truth with those who need it. When I face hardships, help me remember that this is to be expected, but remind me that though I face hardships, I will see your kingdom. May I be your hands and feet here on Earth, O Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.

(VERSE)
2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

(INSPIRATION)
The only offensive weapon of our warfare, God's Word, is powerful through God to destroy the idols of the mind. It is able to humble our prideful thoughts and bring every thought into obedience to Jesus Christ. The battle of the mind is the hinge that our whole lives and the whole course of the world turns on. If we lose that battle, we lose everything.

(PRAYER)
You, Lord, are he who can help us to win the battle of the mind and of the heart. Your Word is mighty in the hands of the Spirit to crush false and prideful beliefs that are contrary to the doctrine of Christ. We lean on Your Word and its teachings and not on our own natural understanding. We come to Your Word in faith, seeking understanding. Amen
