I SPEAK LIFE.

I abide in the Word, and the Word abides in me, therefore, my thoughts, my will, my plans, and my desires all line up with the will of God.

I declare that I am healthy and sound. I function in divine health. Sickness, lack and death are far from me. The Word of God is working in every bone of my body, in every cell of my blood, in every fibre of my being.

I declare that eternal life is at work in me. I speak strength to my body. I declare that I am strengthened with glorious might, by God's Spirit in my inner man. Every system in my body is functioning perfectly. My nervous system is responding to the Word of God. My bones are responding to the Word of God. My members are complete in Him. Thank you Father for this new life I have in Christ. I have moved from death to life; from sin to righteousness; from sickness to health. My needs are abundantly supplied in Christ Jesus. I live an exciting life in Him. The works of my hands are blessed. Grace and mercy encompass me, for God has brought me into a place of abundance, prosperity, peace, joy and health through His Word and by His Spirit. I purpose in my heart to walk in this truth, everyday of my life.

Thank you Jesus. Hallelujah!

SET YOUR MIND ON SPIRITUAL THINGS ~ PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

"Set your AFFECTION on things above, not on things on the earth" (COLOSSIANS 3:2).

Even though "affection" is quite a good and strong rendering in the verse above, the Greek word, "phroneo" is a little more practical. It means to set your mind or your thinking; an activity of the mind; how your mind works. It originates from two words; one meaning, "To reign in," like you say, "I've got to reign this fellow in"; that is, to bring him under control. The second word means, "To block in or fence in."

Thus, the admonition to set your affection on things above means to have control on your mind and consciously set your thinking on spiritual things. Remember that the things you think about are the things that will control your actions.

For example, you may have been wrestling with certain habits; habits that affect the way you serve and live for the Lord; habits that reduce your effectiveness and efficiency. You might have prayed about it, yet, nothing seemed to have changed. It's not so much about prayer as it's about the use of your mind! Your mind is a very powerful machine; you can twist or control it any way you choose. So, what you must do is to first, consciously refuse to think on those things you know aren't wholesome, and deliberately focus your mind on the Word.

Practise exercising your mind through conscious thought. If, for whatever reason, an unwholesome thought comes to you, say, "No," and then, switch your mind to something excellent; to the Word. Don't be surprised if such thoughts creep in again; resist it and repeat the process. James 4:7 says "...Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." God knows what's in the devil, and He tells us if we resist him, he'll flee; that's got to be the necessary result!

Exercise your mind to develop a liking for spiritual things; exercise your interests in the things of God. Attend church services. Study and meditate on the Word. Maintain a robust prayer schedule. Win souls. These are spiritual activities to consciously engage in, in training yourself to "reign-in" your outward man! Hallelujah!

RIGHTEOUSNESS AND GOOD CONDUCT

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do - EPHESIANS 2:10 (NIV)

There is a difference between righteousness and right living or what is called good conduct.
Righteousness is a free gift of God. We become righteous by faith in the finished work of Christ and not by our good conduct. We became righteous the day we received the gospel or got born again. We were washed and made perfect once and forever.

Christ in you is righteousness. Our righteousness does not depend on our conduct or good deeds but our faith in Jesus. How are good deeds related to righteousness? God justifies us on the grounds of our faith in Jesus whiles men justify us on the grounds of our good conducts. Righteousness is a state or identity and good deeds are fruits of who we are.

The lack of good conduct does not make the believer less righteous nor does the presence of good conduct make a believer more righteous. Righteousness is a nature and not an act. Out of this nature comes out good conduct.

Righteousness is our root whiles good conduct is our fruit. A dog is not a dog because it barks, but because it is a dog, it will surely bark. Lack of good deeds simply means the believer is ignorant of his identity or is not mature to be able to bear much fruit.

Fruitfulness depends on how mature you are in the revelation of your identity. A baby who walks outside naked and cries when hungry is not less human than a mature adult who will not walk outside naked or cry when hungry.

Living righteous or putting up good conduct is simply the manifestation of self-awareness of your identity or who you are in Christ. A little girl may bath in public but when she grows and become aware of herself, she stops exposing herself in public. We were created righteous to do good works and not that we do good deeds to become righteous. Good conduct is therefore expected of the believer. Live to exhibit practically how righteous you are in Christ. We are righteous and holy therefore we must manifest righteous and holy conduct. We must grow in the knowledge of our identity in Christ to exhibit the fruit of Christian maturity which is good conduct.
The nature of righteousness I received from Christ produces good conduct in my life.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES MONDAY 11TH JANUARY.

BE RESOLVED TO LIVE FOR HIM

Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God (John 13:3 NIV).

In Acts 21, the saints at Tyre warned and pleaded with Paul not to go to Jerusalem, because of the afflictions he’d face there. They told him he’d be tortured, imprisoned and killed. But Paul’s response is most inspiring! He said, “...Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus” (Acts 21:13 NIV).

What a resolve! He refused to fear; he set his face like Jesus, to go to Jerusalem, even though it meant death! The Bible says, “And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem” (Luke 9:51). The phrase, “stedfastly set” is “stērizō” (Greek), which means “to turn resolutely in a certain direction,” to be resolved.

Jesus’ countenance was so resolute that anybody that looked at Him knew He was up to something; he had made a decision. He knew what was awaiting Him in Jerusalem. He said to His disciples, “...The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified…” (Luke 24:7), but He was undeterred; He steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem.

The Samaritans were hostile to Him, because they could see on His face He was headed to Jerusalem, and they didn’t like it (Luke 9:53). His decision was obvious from His countenance; registered on His visage! Why? He knew the Father was depending on Him.

Even though the Father had given all things into His hands, the decision about whether or not to die for the world, was left to Him (Jesus); but He was focused. This is how you should be resolved to serve Him with your life, to live as a Christian, no matter what!

Make a decision that’s worthy of Jesus, because He made a decision to save you. Never allow any form of distraction in your service to the Lord and spreading of the Gospel around the world. Let it be so strong that even your countenance conveys it.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES THURSDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER.

GET SERIOUS WITH GOD

Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious (James 4:8-9 MSG).

Ephesians 5:15-16 is an apt admonition for us especially in these last days. It says, “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise. Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. ” The stakes are very high. You can’t live your life carelessly as a child of God. You belong to Jesus Christ; therefore, serve Him with your life. Live for Him.

The Bible says, “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). God has a purpose for your life which you must fulfil. That’s the most important thing for you: discovering your purpose in Him and fulfilling it.

PRICELESS ❤️...https://wp.me/p9v28c-1X0

Life isn’t about your personal dreams, plans, aspirations or ambitions. The Bible says, “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness” (2 Peter 3:11). It makes no difference what beautiful structures you see in this world or the earthly fulfilment of men; everything shall be destroyed.

It reminds of King Solomon who built God the most beautiful temple ever. It was greatly celebrated, and of course, God was happy with him and blessed him. But our God doesn’t live in temples made with hands. When they went into idolatry and began to serve Baal, the beautiful temple was destroyed; a resultant punishment for not walking in line with His Word.

God doesn’t care about earthly things. Everything you’ll ever have in this world came from something that was already here, and if that’s true, why don’t you live your life for the One who made all things originally? Serve Him with your life. Get serious, really serious with your service of the Lord.

PRAYER
I was born for the glory of God, to walk with Him and bring Him honour. He planned from the beginning that I should serve Him with my life, and walk worthy of Him, pleasing Him in all things, and fruitful in every good work. This is my passion, pursuit, and purpose every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES SUNDAY 13TH SEPTEMBER.

PERFECT AND COMPLETE IN HIM

Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God (Colossians 4:12).

In the verse above, the words, “perfect” and “complete” could have been interchangeably used. In other words, in the place of “perfect” above, you could also have “complete,” and vice versa.

PRICELESS ❤️...https://wp.me/p9v28c-1X0

“Perfect” here is dealing with standing strong; unmoveable. It also means “mature”; to come to a state of perfection or maturity, to be “full grown.” It’s a place of fullness; fullness of understanding, wisdom and knowledge; fullness of the Spirit. Hallelujah!

Thus, Epaphras, through the Spirit, was praying for the Colossian Christians to come to that place of maturity, standing strong, complete and perfect in Christ. God wants that in your life. He wants you to be a full-grown Christian, mature to do the things of God.

The more mature you are spiritually, the more you can actually fulfil God’s dream for your life. Therefore, set a goal for yourself for spiritual growth. Say to yourself, “I’m going to grow; I’m going to come to a place of maturity, where I only think spiritual, think mature in Christ, and full of God’s Word”; and proceed to achieve it.

Ephesians 4:12-13 says God gave ministry gifts to the Church for this purpose: “…the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.”

If it weren’t possible for us to attain the measure of the fullness of Christ, God wouldn’t tell us to go for it. This is His dream. Therefore, go for it by studying and meditating on the Word voraciously, and yielding yourself to the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
