Christ knows every human being and wants all to live.

On Sunday, 2nd November 2025, the Rector Priest Colin Williams conducted the Service for Departed, Priest Julian Leibrandt was then called up to serve alongside the Rector.

The bible text used for the divine service was taken out of John 10:27-29 where it reads as follows, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone sn**ch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to sn**ch them out of My Father’s hand.”

Summary

- Jesus knows His sheep.
- The Father gives the sheep to Jesus.
- Jesus' sheep follow Him.
- My Father is greater than all.

We were reminded of the message of our District Apostle that God forgives because he can and has the power to forgive those in the beyond as well.

After the conclusion of the divine service, all the Priestly ministers took the time to greet the members in attendance.

The young people diligently joined the ministers to sing and serve the members at their homes. During which, Deacon Fennell and Deacon Lamson was called upon to share a few words . It was a blessed day indeed.

As we enter our last Departed Divine Service for 2025, let us not just intercede but also make experiences of Faith. Let us make a deep connection with those in the realms of the beyond, making sure to listen to their plea, their cry, them reminding us, they need our help. Some thought they had time.
Let us reach out and intercede it's time to do Good

A meeting was held on Thursday, 30th October 2025, for the Young People and Confirmands of Wavecrest to discuss and prepare for the upcoming Departed service.

An information session was also conducted to prepare them for their weekend getaway at the end of November 🙏.

We are grateful to those who attended the meeting.

We wish all a blessed preparation further.

Wavecrest Congregation hosted a Karaoke for our Seniors on Saturday, 18th October 2025. The theme was "a stroll down memory lane" and it took place at San Remo hall

Priest Colin Williams, the Rector of Wavecrest initiated the proceedings with a prayer.

A DJ entertained the gathering with a playlist which included the 'golden oldies' and contemporary dance music.

The event brought together our seniors and guests from Westgate congregation, fostering a sense of community.

A variety of refreshments, including snacks, potjie kos, fruit platters, biscuits, and beverages were provided.

Spot prizes were awarded, and a gesture of gratitude was extended to all participants.

The festivities culminated in a joint performance of song with "We are the world" 🌎.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us and all who contributed towards making this event a success. Thank you to the DJ and a special thanks to the 'helpers' for always being there for our seniors.
