THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE POWER OF GOD'S WORD

John 14:26

[26] But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

We are living in times when many people are searching for direction, peace, and answers. The pressures of life, the uncertainties of the future, and the battles we face daily can easily leave us feeling overwhelmed. Yet, as children of God, we have a divine advantage. God has not left us to navigate life in our own strength or wisdom. He has given us the Holy Spirit, our Helper, Teacher, Counselor, and Guide.

In John 14:26, Jesus gave His disciples a powerful promise before His departure. He assured them that the Holy Spirit would come and continue His work in their lives. The Holy Spirit would teach them all things and remind them of everything Jesus had spoken. This promise was not only for the disciples; it remains a blessing for every believer today.

The Holy Spirit is more than a feeling or an experience. He is the very presence of God dwelling within us. He teaches us how to live according to God's will, gives us wisdom when we lack understanding, and provides strength when our own strength fails. When we face difficult decisions, He directs our paths. When we encounter trials, He comforts our hearts. When fear and doubt arise, He reminds us of God's promises and fills us with peace.

One of the greatest ministries of the Holy Spirit is His ability to bring God's Word to life within us. Many people read the Bible as a historical book, but the Holy Spirit reveals it as the living voice of God. He opens our spiritual eyes to understand truths that cannot be understood through human wisdom alone. As we study the Scriptures, the Holy Spirit illuminates the Word, giving us revelation, conviction, encouragement, and direction.

This is why every believer must develop a daily relationship with both the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. The Spirit and the Word work together. The Holy Spirit guides us through the Word, and the Word confirms the voice of the Holy Spirit. When these two operate together in our lives, we become spiritually strong, mature, and effective in our walk with God.

Hebrews 4:12

"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.

The Word of God is not dead, outdated, or powerless. It is living, active, and filled with divine authority. It carries the power of God to transform lives, break strongholds, heal wounded hearts, renew minds, and strengthen faith. Wherever the Word of God is received and believed, transformation follows.

God's Word reaches places that no human wisdom can reach. It penetrates the deepest parts of our hearts, exposing what needs to change and revealing God's purpose for our lives. It challenges us when we become complacent, corrects us when we go astray, and strengthens us when we are weary. The Word does not merely inform us it transforms us.

When the Holy Spirit takes the Word of God and applies it to our hearts, something powerful happens. Fear gives way to faith. Confusion gives way to clarity. Weakness gives way to strength. Discouragement gives way to hope. What seemed impossible becomes possible because God's Word carries His power and His promises.

The greatest victories in the Christian life are experienced by believers who allow the Holy Spirit to teach them through the Scriptures. Every promise of God becomes a source of strength. Every instruction becomes a pathway to blessing. Every truth becomes a weapon against the attacks of the enemy.

Therefore, let us be people who hunger for God's Word and depend on the Holy Spirit daily. Let us not merely read the Scriptures but meditate on them, believe them, and obey them. Let us give the Holy Spirit room to teach us, correct us, and guide us into all truth.

As we surrender ourselves to the Holy Spirit and allow the Word of God to dwell richly within us, our faith will grow stronger, our character will be transformed, and our lives will bear lasting fruit. We will walk with confidence, overcome challenges with courage, and shine as witnesses of Jesus Christ in a world that desperately needs His light.

May the Holy Spirit continually teach you, guide you, and strengthen you. May the Word of God remain alive in your heart, producing faith, wisdom, victory, and spiritual growth. And may your life be a testimony of the transforming power of God's Spirit and God's Word.

TITLE: SERVING GOD WITH EXCELLENCE

SUB-TOPIC: BE TRANSFORMED IN YOUR MIND

I greet everyone in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Romans 12:

[2] Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will.

You cannot serve God with excellence if your mind is not yet transformed. Transformation is a key to manifest the greatness of God, If you want to do the will of God and excel in your service allow God to change your mind, untransformed mind does things only for human applause, the changed mind is a changed life, your life cannot change if you still move according to the parten of this world.

A transformed mind, produces the transformed life, your life cannot produce anything if your mind is not transformed, for you to change everything in your life you must be free from the parten of this world and be renewed in your mind. The moment you are transformed in your mind, you are able to create even your world, you begin to shape your world through your mind, because the mind is powerful if the mind is transformed. A transformed mind lead you to truth not lies, and it lead you to live in freedom.

Be transformed today by the renewing of your mind, the renewed mind is the renewed life. Until your mind is renewed, God's will can look confusing to you.

The day you were born again, your spirit was reborn. But many believers fail today not because of the words coming out of their mouth, but because of the condition of their mind. Your mind is so powerful that when you deeply imagine something, it begins to manifest. If your mind isn't transformed, you won't see the power of God working in your life.

Once your mind is transformed, serving God becomes simple. In many cases, it may look like brethren are failing in prayer but no prayer is weak. Prayer becomes powerful only when you understand its purpose and power. Some of you wonder why your life doesn't move forward. The answer is simple your mind is not yet transformed. You don't think about the will of the Father only about what your own mind is dwelling on.

Your mind is so powerful that it can make someone poor or rich. Many people still don't know where true power resides. Be transformed in your mind because everything that comes into your hands first begins in your heart. Jesus said, Anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. The imagination precedes the action.

Some of you picture God as a small God. Once your mind is not yet transformed, it becomes possible for you to miss seeing the Lord's power. When God transforms your mind, a transformed mind equals a transformed life. The way you are today is exactly the way your mind is. You are what your mind says you are.

Some of you have minds that aren't transformed because your mind has been programmed to see men as dogs and women as snakes. That programming has led you to reject relationships entirely. You walk into a shop thinking, Even if I don't bathe, brush my teeth, or put on a bra, no one will ask me out anyway. That is your mind speaking. And with that mindset, prosperity cannot enter your life. Sometimes God wants to bless you but your mind is the problem. Imagine God blessing you with a job, millions, and a spouse, but you walk into that blessing with a broken, untransformed mindset.

But once the mind of someone in Christ is changed? That person becomes dangerous for the Kingdom. Paul writes, do not be conformed. Many people live in a way that what is not a sin for others becomes a sin for them. The world's pattern is limiting you. Some of you are believers. You go to church. But your problem is your pattern. Christianity is not a pattern it is a relationship with God.

A pattern is something people live by, something they are used to doing. Paul wrote to the Roman church because even in their understanding, they were still walking according to the world's path. Some of you are born again, but your mind will not allow you to change. You must learn to analyze the words of a person.

If you walk by the world's pattern, and someone comes to you saying, Someone is speaking badly about you behind your back, what do you do? You follow up and check if it's true. But the moment you connect to the part of the church that gossips, something happens the first day you tell a small lie, the second day you lie twice as much, and by next week, you have become a professional liar.

Some of you want to make God happy, but your mind is not yet transformed. There is no way you can make God happy with an untransformed mind. Do not be conformed to the world's standards. Check your friends. Check your girlfriend or boyfriend. Some people are completely programmed by the world's pattern. Believe me, if you marry someone of that type, you will never enjoy your marriage.

Religion is people living by the world's things even while sitting in church. But I am a new creation. Christ lives in me. Do you think Christ can live in a mind that is not yet transformed? A pattern is something you are used to like a woman getting used to being beaten daily and telling herself, This is my life. I'm used to it. But the Word says do not be conformed.

You will always serve God effectively when your mind is transformed. It may happen on the worship team the moment you are united, someone says, I heard what you said, but I won't listen to him. Some of you, your parents failed you at home, and now you think that I, as a prophet, will be able to discipline you? I cannot. That is nearly impossible. If your own parents failed you, do you really think I will succeed where they failed?

God is not the God of seasons only. That is why Ecclesiastes says that a person is given seasons but God Himself is not bound by them. You must agree to be transformed. There are people who are born again but still live by the world's things. They say, today I feel the power of God," but when they don't feel it, they say, there is no power of God today. Church was boring. You participate as a worshipper only to show off. But the moment you hold the microphone and stand before the church, if you are not transformed, nothing changes.

The Bible says the power of life and death is in the tongue. But God doesn't just want you to speak he wants you to think differently first. There is no transformation without acceptance. If you will not accept change, you will live and die with the same state of mind.

Agree to change. Be a youth of purpose. But before that, it must start in your mind. Anything new does not start from any part of your body it starts in your mind. You may pray in tongues, yes, but if you are still conformed to the world, you will even steal the things of Ebuka and Bushiri from Nigeria. The moment you are conformed, you love copying others.

Some of you, when you are angry, speak vulgar words to those who offended you. But the next day, you hold a Bible and go to church. The people in your community stand by their fences and wonder where is this person full of vulgar language going with a Bible.

Your mind is the only thing that can make your life good. If your mind is not yet changed, or if you walk with those who are not changed, you will become like them. You cannot serve God effectively if you are not born again. And understand this: there is no family here that can say, We just suddenly snapped and believed in God. No. All of us once believed in traditional indigenous beliefs.

When people want to attack your future, they attack your mind. In school, when you write an exam, the enemy attacks your mind. He knows that even when you pray, you will only complain in your prayers.

If your mind is renewed, that person can do what others cannot. Ability, miracles, money these only show that the power of God lives in you. No one can say they are successful without taking action. Do not expect to find a million rand in your account out of nowhere. You play Hollywood Bets to earn millions, but you will not win it will take that last R1 from you.

Do not expect miracle money. Whatever business you start, you may see grace. But if you keep waiting for a miracle, you will die waiting. When your mind is renewed, you gain the ability to discern whether your fellow mates are good people or not. A renewed mind connects with heaven.

Proverbs 23v7 says for as he thinks in his heart, so is he. The only thing able to change someone's mind is the Word of God. The Word of God renews our mind and our thinking.

Joshua 1v8 says Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

God gave Moses a stick. But then He gave Joshua a book so he could lead the people using the Word. God's plan is for you not to miss even a single detail in this Book. Then you will be successful. The Word of God will make you successful but only if you meditate on it. The moment you feel useless, the Word is there to encourage you. Go and change the way you think.

The word of God is powerful to renew a mind, Renewal does not come from positive thinking, but it comes when you think according to the word of God, the word of God does not just inform you but it transform you, everytime you are meditating on the word, you are removing fear.

Therefore If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) until the mind is renewed, the life will not reflect the new nature. When your mind is renewed you stop reacting like your past, and start responding like your new nature.

If you aren't working, or if you face the same situations, or your life remains the same do not give up. The problem is that you allowed that tear, that failure, to define you. No matter how many times you fail by the world's ways, I encourage you go try again. But try again with a changed mind.

Go recreate your life. If what you have now is not working, go change your destiny. You have the power. People today don't want to remain as they were you see the results; they change their appearance completely. You have been praying for years. You dream, but nothing happens. Now is the time for that situation to change. But only if your mind is changed. If it is not, you will remain the same.

God gave you that mind so you could operate as He does. Your mind can travel. Even when you feel your boyfriend or girlfriend is cheating on you, that is not just a feeling it is based on your mind. And it is possible, only if your mind is transformed, that whatever you imagine will make sense.

Consider Mary. An angel appeared to her saying, You will give birth to a child, and you will name Him Jesus. Mary was living in the world's pattern, asking, how can this be? But Gabriel said, It will happen by the grace of God. And Mary adapted quickly let it happen according to God's will. meanwhile, Joseph wanted to leave her, thinking she was pregnant by another man. But an angel appeared to him as well do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. This is not by her will, but by God's will.

You have the same invitation today. Do not be conformed. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Let the Word of God reshape your thinking. And then you will prove what is that good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Go and change your mind, your life. May this message settle in your heart and produce the fruit of transformation, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen

TOPIC: STAY IN THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD

Job 1:
[1] In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.

[2] He had seven sons and three daughters.

[3] and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East.

[4] His sons used to hold feasts in their homes on their birthdays, and they would invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.

[5] When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would make arrangements for them to be purified. Early in the morning he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular custom.

[6] One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them.

[7] The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.

[8] Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.

[9] “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied.

The conversation between God and Satan in Job 1:9–12 reveals a profound spiritual truth: there is unmatched security in the presence of the Lord. Satan could not touch Job without first acknowledging the hedge of protection that God had placed around him. This was not merely protection over Job's possessions, family, or health it was the result of a life that dwelt in fellowship with God.

The enemy recognized what many believers often overlook: a person who abides in God's presence carries a covering that cannot be broken by the powers of darkness unless God permits it.

In a generation filled with distractions, God is calling His people back to His presence. Many seek His hand for blessings, breakthroughs, and miracles, but few seek His face. Yet it is in His presence that we discover our true identity, receive strength for our journey, and find peace that surpasses understanding.

The presence of God is not a place we visit occasionally; it is a dwelling place where our hearts are transformed and our faith is established. The deeper we go into His presence, the less power fear, anxiety, and the voices of the enemy have over our lives.

Job's life teaches us that being in God's presence does not exempt us from trials, but it prepares us to endure them. The storms that came against Job could not destroy his relationship with God because his faith was rooted in something deeper than circumstances.

When your life is anchored in God's presence, you can stand firm even when everything around you is shaking. The enemy may attack your resources, your reputation, or your comfort, but he cannot steal the God who walks with you through the fire.

Today, make a decision to remain in the presence of the Lord. Pray when you do not feel like praying. Worship when the battle is intense. Seek God when answers seem delayed.

His presence is your greatest treasure, your strongest defense, and your surest source of victory. Those who dwell in His presence may be tested, but they will never be abandoned, for where God is, there is protection, power, purpose, and everlasting peace.
