TOPIC: WALKING IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF CHRIST
I greet everyone in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
Colossians 3
[6] Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.
[7] You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.
[8] But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
[9] Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices
[10] and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
Beloved, one of the greatest signs that a person has truly accepted Jesus Christ is a transformed life. When Christ enters your life, you can no longer live as you lived before. You cannot continue walking in the same paths, speaking the same words, and doing the same things that once separated you from God.
The Apostle Paul teaches us that believers should not engage in corrupt or vulgar speech, but rather speak words that build, encourage, and glorify God. A child of God does not need to announce to everyone that they have accepted Christ; their character, conduct, and way of life will testify on their behalf. People will see the difference and say, This person is no longer the same.
As believers, our greatest desire should be to know Christ more deeply and to live according to His will. Let us love Christ wholeheartedly and walk in His footsteps every day of our lives. Following Christ is not always easy, but it is the pathway to eternal life and victory.
No matter how impossible your situation may seem, with Christ all things are possible. People may speak negative words over your life and declare that you will never succeed, but when you accept Christ and faithfully follow Him, God will elevate you with or without their approval. What God has ordained for your life cannot be stopped by human opinions.
Before Christ came, humanity was bound by sin and separated from God. But through His sacrifice on the cross, Jesus shed His precious blood so that we might receive forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life. Today we have access to God's grace because Christ paid the price for us.
Many people spend their lives searching for solutions in places that cannot help them. They spend money seeking answers but remain unchanged. Yet in Christ there is healing, deliverance, peace, and salvation freely given through faith. What man cannot do, God can do.
I especially encourage the youth today, accept Jesus Christ while you still have the opportunity. Walk in His ways and remain faithful to Him throughout your life. As the June 16th celebrations approach, many young people may be tempted to put Christ aside for worldly pleasures and sinful lifestyles. But child of God, never put Christ aside for temporary enjoyment.
Do not say, This is my month. Every month belongs to God. Your youth is a gift from Him, and it should be used to glorify His name. The world may promise excitement and pleasure, but many have lost their purpose, destiny, and relationship with God by following worldly desires.
Young people, spend your youth wisely. Honor God, respect your parents, and remain steadfast in your faith. The opportunities before you today are precious. Some believers suffered greatly for the Gospel, but today salvation is freely available. All you need to do is accept Christ and live according to His Word.
Do not remove Christ from your life because of the pressures of the world. Hold firmly to Him even when it is difficult. We as parents also had to leave behind many things when we chose to follow Christ. The journey was not always easy, but God remained faithful.
Trust in the Lord at all times. If you live in Christ, He will live in you. If you follow His footsteps, He will guide your path. If you trust Him, He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
Today I leave this message especially with the youth: Do not allow the spirit of the world to carry you away. Choose Christ. Walk with Him. Live for Him. Remain in Him. For in Christ, the impossible becomes possible, and through Him your future is secure.
May God bless His Word. Amen.
