Hand in Hand Southern Africa

Hand in Hand Southern Africa Hand in Hand Southern Africa (HiHSA) is an NGO with a vision of reducing poverty through job creation.

HiHSA implements a unique Self Help Group (SHG) model enabling beneficiaries to start, their own sustainable enterprises that create jobs. Hand In Hand has a track record in helping the poor to help themselves. Through our model, we have successfully implemented poverty alleviation programmes in poor communities. Our model focusses on:

Social Mobilisation:
Supporting the formation of Self Help G

roups (SHG’s), particularly among marginalised and poor communities, training them on financial literacy and savings

Enterprise Development Training:
We have an accredited Enterprise Development Training programme which focusses on all steps to business development

Access to finance:
Facilitating access to finance either via internal lending within the SHG or through partners

Value addition & Market linkage :
Offering additional support to our beneficiaries to help grow their enterprises. This can involve specific skills livelihood training, or assisting with accessing markets.
