Invited to speak at the Sabbath service of Bishop Sani’s Church, I gave the message of support for Sabbath observance, among others:
1) Sabbath starts from sunset to sunset, I.e. from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset, this is according to God’s reckoning in Genesis creation story
2) Sabbath is a sign between God and His people (Gen 31: 17)
3) Sabbath is a perpetual (forever lasting) covenant (Gen 31: 17)
4) Sabbath must be observed from generation to generation
5) Sabbath is not only for the Jews, it is for all of humanity, it predates the Jews, established from the beginning of Creation
6) There are consequences of either blessings or curses for observance or non observance of the Sabbath (Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28)
7) One of the curses is foreigners advancing greater than the locals and also the locals borrowing from the foreigners, which is a form of slavery 🙏🏻
