Welcome to Worship Centre Christian Church Boksburg North In South Africa. This Is Our Mission, Vision, Motto, What we Believe In And Our Core Values. MISSION:
To Go and Bring people to JESUS CHRIST as membership in His family, To Develop them into Christ-like maturity through the Word and the Work of the Holy Spirit and equip them for the Ministry in the Church and Life Mission in the world in or

der to Glorify God's Name

VISION
Every person in every people’s group in every nation has the opportunity to be part of the family of Jesus Christ. WHAT WE BELIEVE
 There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

 In the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the Right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.

 The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

 The Bible is God’s inspired Word, a revelation from God to man. We accept it as our all-sufficient rule for Faith and practice.

 In Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ – not by works, so that no one can boast.

 That the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the Cross, provide deliverance and healing for every believer from poverty, broken heart, those under captivity by demonic powers, sickness, oppression and those who are under a curse.

 The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ in answer to believing prayer.

 Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

 In the Sanctifying
Power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.

 The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to the Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.

 In the gifts of the Holy Spirit given to equip the saints for service.

 In the Baptism of water after conversion through immersion.

 In the dedication of children through offering them before God in prayer.

 In the blessed hope – the rapture of the church at Christ’s coming.

 In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the saved to everlasting life in the kingdom of our God and the lost to everlasting damnation in Hell, where the lake of fire is – this is the second death

"THE CALL"

MAIN TEXT:
1 KINGS 19:19-21
•Details the prophetic call of Elisha by the older prophet Elijah. It signifies the divine appointment of a successor, highlighting the themes of total commitment to God's Calling and the willingness to leave behind one's old life to serve.

THE ACT OF CALLING (vs 19)
Throwing the Cloak:
•Elijah finds Elisha plowing with twelve pairs of oxen and throws his cloak (or mantle) over him. In biblical times, this symbolic gesture defined the passing of prophetic authority, power, and ministry from one person to another.

GOD'S PERSPECTIVE:
•Elisha was a wealthy farmer, found at the back of the line doing monotonous daily work. This defines God’s preference for availability and faithfulness over outward status or traditional expectations.

THE DECISION (vs 20)
•Elisha runs after Elijah but asks to first say goodbye to his parents.
•After Elijah permits him, Elisha is faced with a choice: he must weigh human relationships and his old life against the priority of his spiritual calling.

THE TOTAL COMMITMENT (vs 21)
Burning bridges:
•To definitively close the chapter on his old life, Elisha slaughters his team of oxen and uses the wooden plowing equipment to cook the meat as a farewell feast for his people.

□This action is often defined as "going all-in" for God. It symbolizes a clean, permanent break from his wealth and worldly occupation

DISCIPLESHIP:
It concludes with Elisha leaving to "assist" or serve Elijah, demonstrating that true spiritual leadership often begins with humble discipleship and obedience.

REFERENCES
Isaiah 55:6-7,Isaiah 59:1-2,Luke 5:32.

Urgency "Seek the LORD while He may be found"
•This is a call to immediate action. It warns that our opportunity to find God and respond to His Grace is limited.

Complete Repentance "Forsake his way, and... his thoughts"
• True repentance requires more than just changing your outward behavior. God asks people to abandon both their wrong actions ("ways") and their self-centered, sinful intentions ("thoughts").

Turning to God "Let him return to the LORD"
• A person must actively redirect their focus and life toward God.

Boundless Mercy "He will abundantly pardon"
• God’s response to true repentance is not reluctant or partial. God's grace is massive and eager to forgive, offering complete compassion and pardon for past wrongs.
