For We Wrestle Not Against Flesh And Blood
Firstly in this last part of the chapter, Paul urges us saying "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might". Ephes 6:10. In verse 12 he gives us the reason why we must be strong. He says
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places"
Paul tells us that there is a war out there which every believer is engaged in. This war may be in your soul (Rom 7:15-25), it may be against the things of this world (1 John 2:15). It might in your house, workplace, school, business, church, marriage, body etc. It is destructive But this war is not against flesh and blood (PERSONS)
We are fighting against the devil himself and all those different fallen wicked spirits in air. This war is even difficult to understand and describe. Paul says we fight against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. But it is the most difficult, tough, dangerous and destructive war.
Evil and demonic spirits are real and dangerous. These spirits can render us as believers prayerless, powerless, ineffective, almost useless in the kingdom of God, living a defeated life, hating other believers, hopeless, oppressed, depressed, not giving and tithing to the Lord, not fellowshipping, fighting against each other, endless conflicts etc.
Your enemy is not your children, brethren, neighbour, husband, wife, colleagues, employees, or bosses. So please know that we wrestle not against flesh and blood. Your real enemy is those dirty satanic spirits. Destructive, controlling, manipulative spirits. That's why we must be strong in the Lord. We are not fighting against human beings. Don't hate any person but love every person.
Remember We Wrestle Not Against Flesh And Blood. May God bless you.
