*Getting in the Spirit* ( Pastor Masisi preaches Revelation)

Sunday Service 7 June
Peterswarts

At Promised Land Church of Jesus Christ in Bloemfontein, Pastor Masisi preached from Revelation 1:10–11, opening the service with Scripture.

“I, John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the island of Patmos for the Word of God.”

“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet.”

He immediately emphasized the condition required to understand the message
“The first thing you have to do is get in the Spirit.”
“If you don’t get in the Spirit, the message will rise up against you.”

Referring to the Book of Revelation, he warned against approaching it lightly
“If you touch Revelation, you must know you need time.”
“You must not be scared of the book of Revelation you must be terrorized by it.”

Speaking on John’s exile and faithfulness, Pastor Masisi said
“He was on Patmos for the testimony of Jesus Christ.”
“If you believe this Gospel, you must not only live for it, but you must be ready to die for it.”
“If you can’t live for it, how shall we pray that you will die for it?”

He returned repeatedly to the idea of spiritual positioning “When you are in the Spirit, you will not fear rejection.”
“You can be worshipping here, but you are no longer here you are already in the Spirit.”

Addressing worship and restraint in church, he said
“When you were a sinner and you went to dance, you got in that spirit.”
“Why are you pretending like you were born holy?”
“If you can shout at a stadium, why can’t you shout Hallelujah in church?”

On spiritual neutrality and returning to old ways, he warned “You cannot come to this message and then go back.”
“How do you return to your vomit, unless you never vomited?”

Speaking on revelation and time,
Pastor Masisi declared “When John got in the Spirit, even the calendar changed.”
“In the Spirit, there is no past and no future.”
“That is why we can prophesy because in the Spirit, it is one long day.”

Encouraging perseverance, he said
“The devil is putting a count on you, saying this year will not end but it will end.”

As the atmosphere in the service intensified, he concluded with a call to action
“There is already an atmosphere.”
“Don’t wait for somebody to bless you.”
“Catch your miracle.”
“Catch your healing in the name of Jesus.”

He ended by returning to the central instruction of the sermon

“Allow yourself to get in the Spirit" said, Pastor Masisi.

“God Himself Had to Come Through a Woman”: Pastor Masisi’s Bold Mother’s Day Sermon Sparks Deep Reflection

A powerful atmosphere filled the church on Sunday, 10 May 2026, as Brother Masukela opened the Mother’s Day service with energetic praise and worship before handing over to Pastor Masisi, who delivered a sermon titled *“A Mother’s Ministry.”*

Preaching from Luke 1:26-38, Pastor Masisi described motherhood as more than giving birth, calling it “a ministry” and a divine assignment from God. Using the story of Mary, the mother of Jesus, he explained that mothers are chosen to protect, nurture and guide children toward their destinies.

“There will never be another Mary,” Pastor Masisi told the congregation as he reflected on how God entrusted Mary with carrying and raising Jesus Christ. He emphasized that even God Himself had to come into the world through the womb of a woman.

“Anything living on earth must come through a woman,” he preached passionately. “Even God bypassed biology, but He could not bypass the womb.”

The pastor explained that Jesus bypassed Joseph’s bloodline because His birth was divine, but still had to come legally into the earth through Mary. He described the womb as sacred and central to God’s creation plan, saying motherhood carries spiritual importance that should never be underestimated.

Throughout the sermon, Pastor Masisi repeatedly stressed that mothers often do not know the greatness of the children they are raising. Referring to Mary raising Jesus, he asked the congregation: “Mary, did you know those little hands would one day open blind eyes? Did you know those little feet would walk on water?”

He encouraged mothers to continue loving and raising their children despite hardship because they may unknowingly be raising future leaders, pastors, prophets or presidents.

The sermon also focused heavily on the story of Moses and his mother. Pastor Masisi praised Moses’ mother for refusing to abandon her son during Pharaoh’s order to kill Hebrew baby boys. He described her as a prophetess in her own right because she saw greatness in her child before anyone else did.

“The greatest prophet was not Moses first,” he said. “It was the mother who believed in him before the world could see it.”

He explained how Moses’ mother built a small ark to protect her baby and placed him in the Nile River, trusting God to guide him safely. Pastor Masisi compared the ark to the protection of prayer, saying a mother’s prayers become a spiritual navigator for her children throughout life.

“The reason you are where you are today,” he told congregants, “is because somewhere there was a mother praying for you.”

Another major theme in the sermon was identity and creation. Pastor Masisi spoke openly about gender identity and same-sex relationships, stating his belief that God created humanity as male and female. He argued that motherhood was specifically entrusted to women as part of God’s natural order.

At the same time, he cautioned church members against hatred and discrimination toward gay people, reminding the congregation that all human beings are created by God.

“You are going to hell for hating gays,” he stated firmly. “They are still children created by God.”

Pastor Masisi also discussed how environmental influences, upbringing, hormones and scientific developments can affect people’s identities and experiences. He mentioned concerns about genetic modification and modern scientific interference with nature, arguing that human identity should ultimately be understood through God’s creation.

The pastor further encouraged young people not to allow others to determine their identity or destiny. Speaking emotionally about names, origins and social labels, he told congregants that people often carry identities given by society, location or culture, but their true identity comes from God.

“The place where you were born is not your destiny,” he preached. “God already knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb.”

As the sermon drew to a close, Pastor Masisi honored mothers for the sacrifices they make daily often struggling financially, emotionally and physically while still protecting and raising their children.

He reminded the congregation that before Jesus could feed multitudes, Mary first had to feed Him herself; before He carried the cross, Mary first carried Him as a baby.

“We salute mothers,” he concluded. “You laid the foundation. Without you, we have nothing.”

The service ended with songs of worship and appreciation as the church celebrated mothers for their dedication, prayers and unconditional love.

*Dressed for the Occasion: Are You Ready to Meet God?*

26 April 2026 Sunday Service Bloemfontein

The atmosphere at Promised Land Church carried a deep sense of expectation as the congregation gathered for Sunday service. Brother Masukela served as the MC, opening the service and preparing the hearts of the people for a powerful message.

When Pastor Masisi took the stage, he introduced a message titled “Dressed for the Occasion: Wearing What the Moment Requires.” From the very beginning, it was clear that this was not just a teaching it was a call to self-examination.

Reading from The Bible, Matthew 22:11–12, he spoke about a man who entered a wedding without the proper garment. “Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?” the scripture asks and the man was left speechless.

Pastor Masisi explained that every divine occasion requires a specific way of presenting yourself. “Clothes communicate occasion,” he said. “Your clothes must match where you are going.” He made it clear that just as people dress differently for a funeral, a wedding, or a formal event, there is also a required “dressing” for the presence of God.

He then brought the message deeper, explaining that in the church, the true “uniform” is not physical clothing. “The Holy Ghost is the theme of the church. The Holy Ghost is the uniform,” he said. He emphasized that once you enter the presence of God, it is no longer about appearance. “Your beautiful suit ends at the door. When you enter, we must all be the same anointed with the Holy Ghost.”

The message challenged outward focus and called for inward transformation. “Church is not a beauty contest,” he said. “We are not here to look at your body, your fashion, or your appearance.” Instead, he described church as a place of brokenness and worship. “The occasion here is to cry, to repent, to be broken before God.”

In a strong and direct moment, he said, “Shame on you who looks at people crying. Why are you not crying?” reminding the congregation that the presence of God demands a response.

He warned against allowing physical appearance to limit spiritual expression. “Don’t wear clothes that stop you from dancing for the Lord. Don’t wear things that stop you from worshipping,” he said. “Dress for the occasion.”

Using the example of Moses, he showed how seriously God takes His presence. God instructed the people to prepare themselves before coming near Mount Sinai. “Take off your shoes, for this place is holy,” he reminded, showing that when God comes down, the dimension changes.

He continued, “When you are in the presence of the Lord, you must look like Him.” Referring to Moses, he said that after encountering God, his face shone with glory. This, he explained, is the true result of being in God’s presence.

The message then shifted to salvation and readiness. He warned about those who appear to belong but entered the wrong way. “Jesus is the door,” he said. “If you come another way, you came by the window.” He stressed the importance of being born again and receiving the Holy Spirit.

“There are people who look like Christians, but they came in by the window and they will be ashamed,” he said, calling for true alignment with Christ.

He also connected the message to readiness for the return of Christ. Referring to the marriage of the Lamb, he said, “The bride is ready. The bride is dressed for the occasion.” He warned that many believers have become tired and have “put away their garments,” forgetting the importance of being ready.

Closing with the example of Joseph, Pastor Masisi showed that a garment represents more than appearance it represents position, identity, and readiness for the moment. Referring to The Bible, Genesis 41:42, he explained how Pharaoh removed Joseph from prison and dressed him in fine linen, placing a ring on his hand and a chain around his neck.

This was not just a change of clothes it was a sign that Joseph was now ready for a new occasion. He had moved from the prison to the palace, and his dressing had to match where he was going.

“Your garment must match your occasion,” the pastor emphasized. Just as Joseph could not remain in prison clothing while stepping into leadership, believers cannot carry an old spiritual condition into a new divine season.

He reminded the church that garments change with purpose. Joseph’s earlier coat showed he was gifted, but this new garment showed he was now positioned for authority. “Your garment announces your occasion,” he said.

The message was clear: when God lifts you into a new level, you must also be spiritually prepared for it. The wrong garment can cause you to miss your moment.

The service ended with a deep sense of reflection. One question remained in the hearts of many.

Are you truly dressed for the occasion? Reply in the comments.

Church, Fire & Truth: Are You Worshipping the Right God?

19 April Sunday Service Bloemfontein

The service began on a calm but powerful note as Brother Keletso opened the gathering at Promised Land Church. There was a quiet sense of expectation in the room, as if something deeper was about to unfold.

When Minister Mokhehle took the stage, he first prayed, saying, “Father, may Your Holy Spirit make us one.” The prayer prepared the hearts of the congregation for a message that would challenge their understanding of worship.

His message, titled “Identifying God’s Current Location: The Hidden Manna,” was based on the Bible, John 4:19. He asked a direct and important question: “Do you know the current location of God?”

He explained that confusion in the church does not just happen. It comes when people remain in places where God has already moved. “If you don’t know the location of God, what are you worshipping?” he asked, calling the congregation to reflect deeply.

To explain this, he spoke about John the Baptist. When John was in prison, he sent his disciples to ask Jesus if He was the one they were waiting for. When the disciples reached Jesus, they saw powerful works. The blind received sight, the lame walked, and lives were changed. Jesus told them to go back and tell John what they had seen.

When they returned, John told his disciples to follow Jesus, saying he must decrease so that Christ may increase. But even after this, not all of them followed. Some remained.

Minister Mokhehle used this to show the source of confusion. Some people move with God, while others remain where they are, even after God has moved.

He gave another example from the upper room. Jesus told His followers to remain there. The scripture shows that those who stayed received what God had promised, while others left. In both situations, the difference was simple. Some followed God’s instruction, and others did not.

The message then turned to spiritual awareness. Using 2 Thessalonians 2:3, he encouraged the church to test the spirit and not follow blindly. “We are removing spiritual load shedding,” he said, calling for clarity and understanding.

He also spoke about the Pillar of Fire as a sign of God’s presence, referring to Exodus 40:34. He explained that throughout the Bible, God revealed His presence and guided His people step by step. The challenge is recognising when God moves.

“Do not find yourself at the wrong address with your sacrifice,” he warned.

As the message continued, he brought it back to Jesus. “If you want to find the pillar of fire, find Jesus. He is the walking address,” he said. He reminded the church that God’s presence is not about a place, but about truth and relationship.

He ended with a strong reminder: “The pillar of fire is not the pastor. It is in you.” He encouraged believers to understand that God’s presence has always been with them.

The service ended with deep reflection. It was not just about attending church, but about moving with God and understanding where He is working now.
