CHAPTER 1 OF EVENT COVERAGE!
The 27th Anglican Women's Fellowship Provincial Council Conference was held in the Diocese of Free State at Imvelo Safari Lodge from the 24 to 30 October 2022. The first two days was the arrival of Provincial Executive Committee (PEXCO) and preparation Meeting.
The conference commenced on the 26 October with the memorial services for those departed since the last conference in 2018. The service was graced by the host Bishop Dintoe, the Liason Bishop Dan Kgomosotho of the Diocese of Mpumalanga, the Archdeacon of Bloemfontein Archdeaconry Fr Isaac Moshoadiba, the Free State Chaplain Fr Ernest Moipolai, Deacon Tshegofatso Msibi to mention a few.
The conference was also graced by Rev M Duma from Diocese of Lesotho who gave the Kay Barron Address, Ms Rosalie Manning on gender inclusivity, and revised AWF Constitution, messages of support from Mother's Union and Bernard Mizeki Guilds Provincial Presidents.
The new pronvicial committee was elected. The launch of the new theme and resolutions for 2022 - 24 were also the highlights of the Conference. Friday night was dedicated to fund raising / mjikelo and Saturday evening was the Gala dinner.
The last service was on Sunday 30 October 2022 at St Patrick's Anglican Church in Bochabelo Location and the conference was official closed by the outgoing provincial president.
