We respectably inform and kindly urge all our parishioners, members, and those who love the beauty of God's Holy house that on Sunday the 28th of May after the Divine Liturgy the Annual General Meeting of our Hellenic Community of Benoni will take place in the hall of our Community and we call all to do their utmost best to be present.
The informative messages which are sent out to our group members and the regular church announcements have in no way aim to collect the masses of our people to our Church and Community, but that those who willingly are present and participate in our functions, liturgies, annual feasts and events, experience and feel God's presence and meaning in their lives and that they may live closer to Him.
It saddens us truly if we fail to do what our ancestors accomplished through much work in order that their future generations might continue what they began, a heritage, culture, faith and tradition which will survive to the end of the ages.
It is with these ideals, dreams, and expectations that we call on all those who are our brethren and family to continue and be part of what present generations are trying to sustain and preserve through much hard work and with your help. Our willingness and effort whether in success or failure to be close to our parishioners in their every need and problem, is also a need and a cry that we too need you as we do each other as different members of a body as Saint Paul says in order to survive.
Our precious and exceptional history is engraved in time with the struggles and the blood of our ancestors so that we may be as Christ says a light and example to the world shining before men that they may see our good works.
Your small annual contribution year end as a member is a donation which will keep a lit candle for yourself and family, to help a family in need, and to keep the doors of our church open as a haven for all who will seek spiritual comfort in their difficult time.
The service of blessing of Holy Waters will bless the meeting.
We hope to see all at our meeting.
With blessings in our Lord
