We are a dynamic parish located on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, and we look forward to welcoming you into our community! The church building was officially consecrated in 1984 by the Most Reverend Archbishop, His Grace Denis Eugene Hurley, Archbishop of Durban at the time. 67 Minutes. Lasting Impact. 💛
On Mandela Day, our parish had the privilege of serving at the Napier Centre for Healing.
Inspired by Nelson Mandela's 67 years of public service, we gave our time to refresh a welcome wall, clear the grounds, paint the laundry room and help care for a place where healing and restoration take place every day.

But Mandela Day isn't only about what we accomplish.

It's about choosing to serve.
It's about showing up.
It's about recognising the dignity of every person we encounter.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone from the All Saints parish community who gave their time, energy and talents to make this outreach possible. Your generosity made this possible.

Why 67 minutes?
Nelson Mandela dedicated 67 years of his life to serving others. Every Mandela Day, we're invited to honour that legacy by giving just 67 minutes of our own.
This year, the All Saints parish community will be spending Mandela Day at the Napier Centre for Healing.

Together we will: 🖌️ Restore the centre's welcome wall 🌿 Clear and tidy the grounds 🤝 Serve alongside the young men at the centre
This isn't just about painting walls or pulling weeds.

It's about showing up for one another. It's about restoring dignity. It's about leaving a place of healing better than we found it.
Whether you're young or old, come and be part of something bigger.

I'd always had a reputation for being harsh. Sometimes I'd earned it.
Sitting at the kitchen table with my cousin, I had said something unintentionally offensive again.
She looked at me and said:
"You get overwhelmed. When the world spins, you say things without filtering. They come out harsher than you mean."
I froze.
Everyone, including me, saw the harsh words. She saw something underneath them.
"O Lord of hosts... who see the heart and the mind."
If she could see something about me that I couldn't see myself... I wonder how much more God is able to see.
When has someone shown you something about yourself that you hadn't seen before?

I kept dropping the ball. Everything was off.
I remember thinking:
I should tell the coach to start someone else.
Instead, he put his arm around me and said:
"They're going to target you. Go out there and show them why that's a mistake."
He had seen everything.
And he still chose me.
Jesus calls Peter, who will deny him. Thomas, who will doubt. Judas, who will betray him.
And Jesus sends them anyway.
When have you been trusted, not because you had it together, but because someone believed in you anyway?

In John 6, the crowd struggles to believe that Jesus could be the answer to what they really needed.

They ask:

"How can this man give us his flesh to eat?"

A few years ago, I was exhausted, stressed about money, and working a job that paid almost nothing.

When someone suggested gratitude, I thought:

"I don't need gratitude. I need money."

The problem wasn't that I hadn't heard the suggestion.

The problem was that I had already decided what help was supposed to look like.

How often do we do the same thing with God?

I fouled him badly.

My body went cold. I had heard what this guy could do.

After the game, he walked up to me and said:
“It’s just a game. I know you didn’t mean it. Me and you, we’re still cool.”

I couldn’t believe it.

“God sent the Son into the world not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.” — John 3:17

Sometimes the thing that changes you isn’t punishment.

It’s mercy from someone who had the power not to give it.
