Living Hope Church Activities

Living Hope Church Activities This was the space of Living Hope church, a multi-ethnic church in the North-West of Pretoria. Regretfully, it was closed. It has something to do with Jesus.

Living Hope church is a Reformed church that reflects the colourful body of Christ as we see it described in the book of Revelation: it includes people from all races, walks of life, languages, cultures, ages, genders, and whatever other things we notice as differences between people created in God's image. We are all sinners, broken people who can only be saved and healed by God's grace and his H

oly Spirit. Therefore we strive to be humble before God and towards people. We love each other, and love you so much that we want you to know Jesus Christ as savior and king. We invite you to join us if you live within a sabbath journey from our church building - or to visit us if you are living in another part of creation :-). Contact us also if you happen to stumble upon this page and are wondering why churches or Christians are doing things that you don't understand. We'd be happy to try to explain them to you.

I am deeply sorry to announce that Living Hope church is closed.

If you are looking for a biblical church in the Northern suburbs of Pretoria, I recommend that you attend Grace Reformed church in Annlin, or you can contact me for advice.

You can also contact me if you want to know more about Jesus or are ready to become a disciple of Jesus.

** Spiritual warfare sermon series **
Are you wondering whether spirits are real? Or does fear for them hold you hostage and paralyze you?
'The devil made me do it' - is that true, or just an excuse?
Do you think integrity is out of reach for you?
Why it is that being a Christian is not as easy as you thought?

We all have questions about spiritual things.
Come and join us for the sermon series on spiritual warfare we just started. Find your strength in the Lord Jesus.
Let's read, think and pray together about Ephesians 6:10-18 in the coming weeks.
Ask your questions and let's find answers together.

I preach this series together with Jacob Mnisi, who is serving as intern / associate pastor in Living Hope.

Lennard Stalman, 9 years, from sent us this home-made new year's greeting card from the Netherlands. Wonderful, Lennard, we thank you!
We appreciate it that you thought of us and that you made such a beautiful card by yourself.
I am sure the members will appreciate your card when I read it to them today.
God bless you, brother!

The creator entered his own creation. He took our offenses against his own majesty upon himself. He saved us.

Only one response is fitting: let us adore him!

Join us today or any other Sunday in the new year when we do the same.

We invite you to expect Jesus with us. His birth makes it possible to overflow in hope, joy and love when you put your trust in him.
What a humble king he is: that he was born on this tiny earth! And that his entire life was a path of humility.
Your hope in him is secure because he has conquered the ultimate enemy, death, and will return to fully establish his kingdom.
Expect him with eager anticipation!

We want to move - looking for a building
Hi everyone: Living Hope is looking for a building / fellowship hall to rent for worship services in Northern Pretoria. We have been meeting in a garage until now, but we would like to spread our wings and come out of hiding :-)

For now, we concentrate on the following areas (because of transportation challenges for the current members): Akasia/Orchards, Mayville/Capital Park, and Wonderboom South/die Moot.
If you know anything available for rent during Sunday mornings (or possibly afternoons), please let us know soon. We appreciate your help!

'I feel the charity; people love each other' zegt Ricky, de blinde huisgenoot van Soleil en Zizina.

New members are joining today! I am so grateful that God keeps adding people to the church. Soleil and Zizina want to follow Jesus Christ. They hail from the DRC, where the horrors of the civil war made it impossible for them to stay. They fled in 2014 with their baby girl Ketia. They now live in Pretoria. I have visited them for the past 18 months and they have been active in the church all that time. I hope to baptize their daughter and their son who was born almost a year ago. Welcome, dear brothers and sisters!

Sunday 5 June is a festive day for our church: we welcome 2 women and 5 children as members.

I have walked a path of discipleship with both women, starting at the end of 2014. It helped me to get to know them and see God at work in their hearts.
I am excited and thankful for this blessing. Not only does the church grow in numbers, but we receive two committed disciples of Jesus. They are examples to all of us in the way they overcame traumatic experiences and humbly live by God's grace.

If you are in the neighborhood, please join us at 10 am.
If not, please thank the Lord for them and pray for their further growth in love and holiness.

This coming Sunday, 1 November, will be special. We are going to celebrate Reformation Day with a special sermon, and after church a film and a meal together. You are invited!
See details in the separate event I will publish later today.

We had a good congregational meeting today. We talked about our need for a church building, I gave a report on the activities of the strategic group, and we decided to organise a cultural event on Heritage Day. Everyone was participating in the meeting. I am very thankful for the way our church is functioning and growing in depth and love.
