It is with a heavy heart that Court Gleason #924 is letting you know that our beloved member, Former District Deputy Shirley Schmoldt, did not survive her open heart surgery today. She is now resting in the arms of the angels after her long and courageous battle. Her family has not announced any funeral arrangements at this time. Thank you for all of your prayers.

There will be a funeral mass for Darcy Kubissa, Recording Secretary for Court Gleason #924, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Clyde, NY, at noon on Saturday March 7th, 2020. A Martha Ministry meal will be held at St. John's Hall immediately after the funeral. There will be no calling hours.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that our "sister" Darcy Romeo-Kubissa got her wings. We do not have any other information at this time. Please pray for her family.

Darcy is moving today to Laurel House in Newark, a comfort care home. This will be better to be out of the hospital, closer to her husband, Larry and for others to visit.
She is sleeping a lot but has been very comfortable. While she cannot really talk anymore, she still finds a reason to smile or laugh most days.
Thank you for the thoughts, prayers and support. We are surrounding her with the same love and care that she gave to her family and so many others.

This is Darcy’s family. She is in the hospital at Strong Memorial in Rochester, NY. The doctors think she is suffering from what they think is a rare neurodegenerative disease. Unfortunately, she is rapidly declining despite all interventions we have tried. They do not expect her to recover at this time. If anyone would like to visit, she is on the unit 5-1600.
You all know Darcy is an amazing woman— wife, mom, sister, daughter and friend and we are so grateful for her time with us. Her kids and family are visiting daily, showing her love and keeping her comfortable. Thank you for the prayers, thoughts and for your support at this incredibly painful time. Her faith in The Lord brings comfort.

Sunday June 2nd, 2019. Court Gleason #924 celebrated Priests Day at Sunday morning mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, and lunch at Wayne Hills Country Club, Lyons, NY. We appreciate everything that our priest, Fr. Tedesche, and our deacon, Greg Kiley, do for us. Thank you so very much!

Court Gleason #924 was represented at the Catholic Daughters New York State Biennial Convention by Regent Lisa Stirpe, Vice Regent Sharon Ferindino, Financial Secretary Donna Dow, and member Adele Stirpe. They attended workshops and sessions, listened to and gave reports, voted and tallied votes, processed in and out as court officers and honor guard, ate fabulous food and co-hosted Thursday's luncheon, and wore creative costumes, gave a funny skits, and danced. A wonderful, informative, and enlightening time was had by all. See you all again in two years, God willing!
