Special moments in Erica West with Chief Apostle Helper Helge Mutschler

On Wednesday, 20 May 2026, Erica West congregation was filled with excitement, reverence, and a deeply holy atmosphere as members gathered for a blessed divine service conducted by Chief Apostle Helper Helge Mutschler.

Congregants from the invited congregations arrived with joyful anticipation, creating a spirit of great expectation as they prepared their hearts for the service.

The Bible text was taken from Isaiah 41:10 NKJV: “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

It was shared that this verse had been written to Chief Apostle Helper Helge Mutschler by a sister who wished him well upon receiving the great responsibility of becoming the next Chief Apostle.

The opening hymn, “Mighty God, We Praise Thy Name” (Hymn 49), set a wonderful tone for the evening as the congregation united in praise and gratitude to God.

Apostle Neville Williams was then called upon to serve along, sharing supporting thoughts based on the text verse and encouraging the congregation to place their complete trust in God’s guidance and care. The service centred around five powerful promises contained within the Bible text.

On the words, “For I am with you,” the congregation was reminded that God is always beside, behind, below, and above His children, remaining their constant rock and solid ground in every circumstance.

Further emphasis was placed on the words, “For I am your God,” reminding all present of the close relationship God desires with His people, while “I will strengthen you” encouraged members to rely on divine strength during challenging times.

On the promise, “I will help you,” the Chief Apostle Helper shared the comforting thought that our help comes from the cross, where Jesus Christ made the ultimate sacrifice for mankind, and that God’s hand rests upon the shoulder of His children, guiding and supporting them through every situation.

Lastly, the congregation reflected on the assurance, “I will uphold you,” finding comfort in knowing that God faithfully sustains and preserves His people through His righteous right hand. It was also shared that Jesus sat at the right hand of His Father, symbolising honour, victory, and eternal fellowship with God, reminding believers of the hope that they too may one day share in that glory.

The choir beautifully rendered “One Spirit, One Goal,” creating a moving moment as voices blended together in praise and devotion. The atmosphere throughout the service remained uplifting, sacred, and filled with heartfelt gratitude for the rich blessings experienced.

The concluding hymn, “Come Ye That Love the Lord” (Hymn 406), brought the service to a joyful close as the congregation departed spiritually strengthened and inspired.

DO NOT BE ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST.

And yet he said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek” (Romans 1: 16). This was the basis for a divine service in Roissy-en-France

People don’t talk about their faith for fear of being marginalised or rejected. People are afraid of being laughed at because the gospel is seen as an outdated doctrine for the uneducated. They are ashamed of all the mistakes that Christians have made.

“If we are asked to defend our values, then we do not need to be ashamed of the gospel,” the Chief Apostle emphasised, saying that no one should be ashamed to speak out and say, “No, I believe in Christian values, I believe in the commandments, I believe in Christ.”
“The most extreme, the most idiotic, the most far-fetched ideas” are being promoted and aired today and demand respect. “Why should Christians remain silent? There is no reason for this. Why should we be ashamed of the gospel, of defending Christian values?”

INTERCESSION FOR THE LIVING AND THE DEAD

But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, “May the good Lord provide atonement for everyone who prepare his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he is not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.” And the Lord listened to Hezekiah and healed the people.

God turns pain into purpose.

The seasons that break you often become the soil where something stronger grows. What feels like a setback can become preparation. What feels like loss can become clarity. What feels like suffering can become strength.

In Romans 8:28, we’re reminded that “in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” Not that all things are good—but that He can redeem all things.

Think of Joseph, betrayed and imprisoned, yet positioned to save nations. Or Job, who endured unimaginable loss and still encountered deeper restoration. Their pain was real—but it wasn’t wasted.

If you’re in a hard place right now, this isn’t the end of your story. The pressure may be shaping you. The delay may be directing you. The heartbreak may be building compassion in you that someone else will one day desperately need.

Hold on. Healing and purpose often arrive wrapped in the same tria.
