Expanded Reflection
There are days when the soul doesn’t need thunder or revelation
no mountaintop, no burning bush, no flash of insight
just a soft word from God, barely louder than a breath,
reminding us that He hasn’t stepped away for even a moment.
Sometimes it’s not answers we’re after,
but the reassurance that the story isn’t stalled
that the road we’re on, with all its curves and delays,
still leads somewhere good, somewhere intentional,
somewhere God has already seen.
And on those days, the most spiritual thing we can do
is simply pause
not to strive, not to fix, not to force anything
but to become still enough
to feel the gentle pressure of grace at our back.
Grace doesn’t demand our attention,
it doesn’t shout, and it never runs out of patience.
It just keeps following us
through the quiet mornings,
the restless evenings,
the questions we don’t say out loud.
Even when we’re not looking for it,
even when we forget to pray,
even when we feel a little worn thin
grace keeps tracking us down,
nudging us forward,
lifting us up,
whispering,
“You’re not alone. Keep walking. I’m here.”

The Quiet Remnant
They don’t trend, and they don’t try to. Their parking lots aren’t full of SUVs with clever bumper stickers; sometimes they’re barely half full. But inside, there’s a kind of gravity, wood creaks, voices rise, and the sound of real human breath carries hymns that predate microphones.
These churches don’t chase modern polish. They measure faith by presence, not production. Someone still rings the bell by hand. The pastor still visits the sick without posting about it. The children still know the words to “Blessed Assurance” because they’ve heard their grandparents sing it from the same pew for forty years.
They’re not perfect. They’re often aging, tired, under funded. But they’re rooted. And maybe that’s what’s needed most right now roots. While the louder corners of Christianity argue over style and slogans, the quiet remnant keeps doing what the church was built to do: worship, pray, love, repeat.

A tree grows where the shadows weep,
Its roots entwined with stone so deep.
Once the tomb stood tall and proud,
Now the tree's embrace has become its shroud.
With creeping limbs that stretch and cling,
It wraps the grave in a silent ring.
The branches bow, the leaves caress,
As if to mourn in nature’s dress.
Time weaves through bark and stone,
The names upon the grave are overgrown.
Yet life persists, with tender care,
In the grip of death, a tree finds air.
The tombstone fades, the roots extend,
And life and death begin to blend.
For in this quiet, sacred place,
The tree grows tall, a final grace.

Dear VP Harris, Thank you for letting me know where you stand concerning the presence of Jesus and/or his Spirit at your Rallies. You have indeed made my voting decision much more simple. The Bible speaks to the rejection of Christ in various contexts, including public and private settings. When people or groups claim that Jesus does not belong at their public meetings, it reflects a broader rejection of Christ’s authority and message. Scripture addresses such rejection with warnings of judgment for those who refuse to acknowledge or welcome Christ.

1. Rejection of Christ Results in Judgment
Matthew 10:14-15 (ESV): "And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town. Truly, I say to you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for the land of S***m and Gomorrah than for that town."
Jesus instructed His disciples to move on from places where they were not welcomed, but He also warned of the severe judgment awaiting those who reject His message. The rejection of Jesus from a public setting brings greater condemnation, likened to the destruction of S***m and Gomorrah.
2. Denial of Christ Before Men
Matthew 10:32-33 (ESV): "So everyone who acknowledges Me before men, I also will acknowledge before My Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies Me before men, I also will deny before My Father who is in heaven."
Publicly rejecting Jesus, such as refusing to allow His presence or message in a public meeting, is a denial of Him before men. The consequence is that Jesus will deny these individuals before God the Father, resulting in eternal separation from Him.
3. The Rejection of Christ Brings Wrath
John 3:36 (ESV): "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."
When people reject Jesus, they reject the very source of life. By stating that Jesus does not belong in their meetings, they are rejecting His authority, and the wrath of God remains on them. This rejection brings judgment, as God’s wrath is upon those who refuse to believe in and honor His Son.
4. Woe to Those Who Reject the Cornerstone
Luke 20:17-18 (ESV): "But He looked directly at them and said, 'What then is this that is written: "The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone"? Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, and when it falls on anyone, it will crush him.'"
Jesus is the cornerstone, and to reject Him is to fall into destruction. Those who say that Jesus does not belong in their meetings are rejecting the very foundation of salvation. The Bible warns that rejecting Jesus leads to judgment, and those who stumble over Him will be broken.
5. Public Rejection of Christ Aligns with the Spirit of Antichrist
1 John 2:22-23 (ESV): "Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also."
Denying that Jesus belongs in a public setting reflects the spirit of antichrist. Those who publicly reject Jesus are not only rejecting the Son but also the Father. This denial leads to judgment, as the Bible makes clear that such individuals are not aligned with God and are, in fact, opposed to Him.
6. Consequences for Public Rejection of Christ's Authority
Psalm 2:1-5, 10-12 (ESV): "Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed... He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision... Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, for His wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him."
Public leaders and groups that reject Christ are warned in this passage. Their rejection is in vain, as God holds ultimate authority. The Psalm advises rulers and people in authority to serve the Lord with reverence and embrace ("kiss") the Son, Jesus Christ, or else they will face His wrath and judgment.
7. Judgment on Nations and Leaders Who Reject God
Revelation 19:15-16 (ESV): "From His mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron... On His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords."
At the final judgment, Christ will execute judgment on nations and rulers who have rejected His authority. Those who refuse to allow Jesus in their public meetings and deny His lordship are part of this group who will face Christ’s ultimate judgment and rule.
Conclusion:
The Bible makes it clear that those who reject Jesus in any public or private setting will face judgment. This rejection is a denial of Christ’s authority and divinity, which leads to spiritual and eternal consequences. The warnings are dire—Jesus will deny before God those who deny Him publicly, and God’s wrath remains upon them. Furthermore, public rejection of Jesus aligns with the spirit of antichrist and is an affront to God’s kingdom, leading to eventual destruction and judgment. The call to honor and "kiss the Son" remains urgent, as God extends His grace, but with it comes the warning of judgment for those who reject Him.

Father, no matter what leaders I find myself under, I know you will have ultimate control. Amen - Isaiah 41:12-13 (NIV)
"Though you search for your enemies,
you will not find them.
Those who wage war against you
will be as nothing at all.
For I am the LORD your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you. Isaiah 41:12-13"

The recent storm has left many families devastated, with homes destroyed, lives uprooted, and communities facing immense challenges. In the midst of this tragedy, we are reminded of the words of Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Though the storm's destruction is overwhelming, it is in these times of trial that we are called to lean on God's promises. As we see neighbors coming together, offering support and compassion, we witness the body of Christ in action—bearing one another’s burdens and sharing the love of Christ in practical ways. Though the road to recovery may be long, we trust that God will bring beauty from the ashes, and through faith and prayer, His grace will strengthen and sustain us, as we rebuild not only homes but also hope.

"As a nation, we find ourselves at a crossroads, where division and uncertainty seem to prevail. But in these moments, we are reminded of the power of faith and the firm foundation we can have when we turn back to God. It is only by seeking His guidance, humbling ourselves before Him, and striving to live according to His will that we can restore unity, hope, and purpose in our country. Let us remember the wisdom of 2 Chronicles 7:14: ‘If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.’ Now, more than ever, may we return to the God who has always been faithful."

Happy Birthday, Mom

I love you, Mom, and miss you so,
Your light still guides me as I go.
I wish that I had comforted more,
Instead of worrying you as I did before.

In my heart, you're never far,
A shining soul, my guiding star.
Through all the years, through all the strife,
You gave me love and shaped my life.

Though you're not here for me to see,
I feel your presence frequently.
Today I whisper soft and true,
"Happy birthday, Mom. I love you."

Proverbs 11:14
Amplified Bible

14

Where there is no [wise, intelligent] guidance, the people fall [and go off course like a ship without a helm],
But in the abundance of [wise and godly] counselors there is victory.

This is “MY” view of the Transgender acceptance movement in sports…
Allowing transgender women, individuals who were assigned as male at birth but, who identify and live as women to compete in women's sports creates unfair competition due to physical advantages. This concern is not directly addressed in the Bible (see below) but is linked to broader principles of justice and fairness.
While the Bible does not explicitly address transgender identity in athletics, Christians believe that certain biblical passages are upholding traditional gender distinctions. They argue that maintaining the created order, respecting the body as God's creation, and ensuring fairness in competition are consistent with biblical principles.
Genesis 1:27: "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."
This verse is interpreted to mean that God created two distinct genders, male and female, with specific roles and identities. I would argue that altering one's gender identity goes against this creation order and disrupts the intended design.
Deuteronomy 22:5: "A woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God."
This verse plainly argues against cross-dressing and, by extension, gender transition. I believe it implies that maintaining traditional gender distinctions is important to God.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20: "Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body."
This passage clearly states that altering one’s body through gender transition is not honoring the body as the temple of the Holy Spirit, and it goes against the natural design given by God.
