“Allah is Great” — Allahu Akbar (الله أكبر)

Meaning:
Allahu Akbar means “Allah is the Greatest” or “Allah is greater than everything.”

It is one of the most important expressions in Islam. It reminds Muslims that Allah is greater than our fears, problems, desires, wealth, power, and everything in creation.

📖 In the Qur’an Allah says:
“And your Lord, glorify Him.”
— Qur’an 74:3

🕌 When do Muslims say “Allahu Akbar”?

It is commonly said:

During the Adhan (call to prayer)

During Salah (prayer)
During Eid Takbir

When remembering and glorifying Allah

In moments of joy, awe, or gratitude

When expressing trust in Allah during difficult times
Spiritual meaning

When you say “Allahu Akbar,” you are declaring:
“Allah is greater than anything I am facing.”

It helps a believer remember that no matter how great a problem may seem, Allah is greater than the problem.
Allahu Akbar. 🤲

May Allah increase us in faith, guide us to what is right, and keep our hearts connected to Him.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the morning brightness,

And by the night when it grows still,

Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased.

And the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life).

And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.

Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter?

And He found you lost and guided you,

And He found you in need and made you self-sufficient.

So as for the orphan, do not oppress (him),

And as for the beggar, do not repel (him),

But as for the favor of your Lord, proclaim it.

পরম করুণাময়, অসীম দয়ালু আল্লাহর নামে

শপথ প্রভাতের আলোর,

এবং শপথ সেই রাতের যখন তা নিস্তব্ধ হয়ে আসে,

তোমার রব তোমাকে পরিত্যাগ করেননি, আর তিনি অসন্তুষ্টও হননি।

এবং পরকাল তোমার জন্য এই বর্তমান জীবনের চেয়ে উত্তম।

এবং তোমার রব তোমাকে দান করবেন, আর তুমি পরিতৃপ্ত হবে।

তিনি কি তোমাকে এতিম অবস্থায় পাননি এবং আশ্রয় দেননি?

এবং তিনি তোমাকে পথভ্রষ্ট অবস্থায় পেয়েছেন এবং পথ দেখিয়েছেন,

এবং তিনি তোমাকে অভাবগ্রস্ত অবস্থায় পেয়েছেন এবং তোমাকে স্বাবলম্বী করেছেন।

সুতরাং এতিমের উপর অত্যাচার কোরো না,

এবং ভিক্ষুককে তাড়িয়ে দিও না,

বরং তোমার রবের অনুগ্রহের কথা ঘোষণা করো।
