Very important for you to know about pastoral leadership.
1. most pastors are more concerned with your life more than their own.
2. most pastors develop think skin to deflect the criticism, lies, stigmas, and fiery darts from church members not the world.
3. most pastors are insecure from investing there heart and in return getting hurt.
4. most pastors are burdened with meeting baptism, church growth, attendance numbers from denominational entities.
5. most pastors are neglecting the true emotional needs of their spouses and children because they are helping the world with theirs.
6. most pastors are addicted to ministry work but deep down inside they lead and bleed.
7. most pastors wear themselves out because most church members allow them to (selah)
8. most pastors want to be truthful and honest and share their burden with the church but they fear judgement and loss of membership.
9. most pastors will accomplish ministry work on shoestring giving while foregoing financial needs for their own family.
10. most pastors need the church to make them take a sabbatical...
Hebrews 13:17 “Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.”
