Earlier this morning, a fire occurred at our church property in Christiansted, St. Croix. The old church building—recognized as the first Seventh-day Adventist church on the island and a historic structure—was engulfed in flames.
By God’s grace, the Fire Department responded swiftly and was able to get the fire under control without fire damage to the adjacent main sanctuary. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the first responders and fire personnel, as well as to our community for your concern, prayers, and support.
At this time, the property is not safe for entry. Fire officials have advised that both floors of the affected building are compromised, and the area will remain unsecured until a full investigation is completed. We kindly ask that no one attempt to enter the premises.
We ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers during this time. 🙏
