Have you ever felt inadequate in the Lord’s work? Bringing your meager offerings, your few loaves and fishes, to the Lord and asking for a miracle, asking for His light and His hand in your life?

I have.

But I have seen my humble offerings become holy as I have climbed high mountains and have sought to have my rough places made smooth, “notwithstanding my weakness” (2 Nephi 33:11).

We all have weakness. But I have found that when we trust God and allow Him to prevail in our lives, the end result will be better than we could possibly imagine. He will make our weakness become strong.

The youth theme this year, Philippians 4:13, is true: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” The power to convert a weakness to a strength, to accomplish those things we are asked to do is possible through the grace of Jesus Christ.

¿Cómo podemos construir? 🥹

Don’t we all feel like we are “under construction” most of the time?

My favorite walking path takes me right by the Lindon Utah Temple, which is being built. I was walking in the early morning one day last week, and I saw a group of construction workers gathered. In my mind I thought they were most likely going over their plans for the day; perhaps the foreman was giving out assignments.

This got me thinking.

As I work on building—my capacity, my testimony, other people, and my faith in Jesus Christ—it is important to have a plan, and it helps to have a trusted voice to offer direction.

Just as these builders were gathered, the morning hours are a good time for me to review my overall objectives and set specific goals for my day. I have trusted voices I can seek direction from—the Holy Ghost, words of past and living prophets, and those in my life who show me what it looks like to live as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

And one more thing—our building efforts are so much easier when we link arms with like-minded individuals. How we need each other!
