The World Evangelical Alliance met yesterday via Zoom with leaders from the Evangelical Council of Venezuela and the Latin American Alliance to receive an update on the devastating earthquake and the urgent humanitarian needs.
After visiting the affected areas, Pastor Mermejo, described entire neighborhoods reduced to rubble, families left without electricity in extreme heat, and churches serving as places of refuge by transporting the injured, providing food, and caring for those in need.
Pastor Alexis Paz Pirela (watch in the video below), survived the Earthquake but lost his older son and grandson.
Pastor Juan Cruz, President, AEL - Alianza Evangélica Latina, emphasized the urgent need for support as local churches continue responding on the front lines.
WEA calls on the global Church to stand with Venezuela through prayer and generous support. Together, we can help provide food, clean water, medicine, shelter, and hope to families affected by this disaster.
Watch the videos and continue praying for Venezuela, its churches, rescue workers, and all those rebuilding their lives.
