Mt. Olivet Memorial Park

Mt. Olivet Memorial Park Family-owned cemetery and crematory in Zion, Illinois. Chartered in 1902 Mt. Olivet Memorial Park is a 30+ acre cemetery located in Zion, Illinois. Not only is Mt.

We have been owned and operated since 1979 by the Fischer family. Olivet family owned, but our entire maternal lineage has been interred here since the cemetery opened in 1902. We have relatives in almost every section of the cemetery. We feel this sets us apart from other cemeteries, because we are caring for our own loved ones and yours.

Participating in National First Responders Day means so much to our business and our family. Thank you to the entire Zion Fire and Rescue Department and Zion Police Department for every little thing you do for our community. You are appreciated.

While we don’t expect or look for extra attention, we do appreciate when local partners and business go the extra mile to show appreciation! Thank you to LeNette and Mt. Olivet Memorial Park for stopping by with gifts of appreciation for our firefighter/paramedics on National First Responders Day! We know this was extra special for LeNette, since her father Lee faithfully served ZFD and our community for a very long time!

Reminder that all decorations need to be removed from our grounds by October 31. November 1, we will clean off all remaining decorations. If there is anything you want to keep, please remove it before November 1.

The grounds need to be free of decorations until November 16 to allow for leaf mulching and ground preparation for winter.

After November 16, wreaths and winter decorations may be placed.

You are welcome to bring your own wreath or you can call our office at 847-872-5476 to see if we have any wreaths available and we can place them for you.

Please check our rules and regulations for any questions regarding decorations.

Thank you for helping us keep our grounds looking beautiful.

When people ask why we don’t like balloon releases. This is a small reason. The balloons do not go to heaven. They end up in our trees or on the Earth somewhere. Animals and birds get stuck in them, try to eat them, etc., and they cause great harm.

If you are looking for a way to remember somebody with a special ceremony, please consider a dove release.

Make our community stronger.

Calling all business owners, managers and directors: you are invited to attend our networking event on April 1 at Harbor Cafe. We have added a business networking committee that we are hopeful will quickly launch as the chamber of commerce our area so desperately needs.

A Chamber of commerce provides a stronger voice for our business community, networking opportunities, marketing initiatives, and so much more.

We hope you will join us for our preliminary meeting April 1 at Harbor Cafe.

Just a reminder that printed banners like this are not allowed on our property for a few reasons. First, maintenance: we can not mow with these banners placed and they will kill the grass underneath. We also do not allow decorative rock or bark. Second, it is considered a temporary marker which are not allowed per our rules and regulations. Please do not purchase them for placement in our cemetery. A copy of our regulations can be found here. Please call our office if you have any questions. https://www.mtolivetmemorialpark.com/rules-and-regulations
