Attention I-Rock Men!

Ready to reel in some serious fun? The TCC Men are heading out for fishing on Lake Delavan August 1, 2026.

Spots are limited to 20 guys.
Cost: $40.00 per person.

We are rolling out from the church at 6:00am. Carpool and Vanpool available connect…

We will cast our lines at 7:00am sharp and wrap up by 11:00am.

Interesting…

The Bible does not contain the exact phrase "no man is an island." This famous line comes from a 1624 devotion by poet John Donne.

However, the concept that people are interconnected and not meant to live in isolation is a strong biblical theme, with several verses supporting this idea.

Biblical Support for the Concept:
Interdependence: "For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself" (Romans 14:7), which aligns with Donne's meditation.

Companionship: "Two are better than one... A cord of three strands is not quickly broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).

Community: The concept of being part of the "body of Christ," where each person is connected to others (1 Corinthians 12).

Human Need: "It is not good that the man should be alone" (Genesis 2:18).

The quote "No man is an island" means that everyone is part of a larger community and that our actions affect others, a sentiment the Bible consistently affirms.
