On Sunday, Pastor Michael Washington taught us that sometimes people were comfortable with the broken version of you.

They were comfortable when you were crying. Comfortable when you were struggling. Comfortable when you were calling them every day with a new problem. Comfortable when you were stuck.

But the moment God started putting your life back together… Everything changed.

Now you’re “different.”
Now you’ve “changed.”
Now you’re “acting funny.”

Pastor Michael Washington challenged us with a powerful truth:
Sometimes people were connected to the broken version of you because that’s the version they were familiar with.

But Luke 8:35 shows us a man who was no longer broken. He was sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind.

Don’t apologize for healing. Don’t apologize for growth. And don’t climb back into old tombs just to make someone else comfortable.

🌱 A New Beginning at WTLM! 🌱

We are so excited to celebrate the launch of our new children’s ministry, In the Beginning, led by Sister Lauryn!

As God continues to grow and expand The Way, The Truth, and The Life Ministries, we are grateful for the opportunity to pour into our youngest generation. Yesterday, our children gathered for their very first In the Beginning service, where they learned about God, had praise and worship, engaged in fun activities, and enjoyed a space created just for them.

💝One of the greatest joys was seeing our little ones return back to us to share everything they learned. There is nothing like watching young hearts grow in faith, knowledge, and the love of Jesus.

💐We want to congratulate Sister Lauryn as she has stepped into this role. We pray that God continues to strengthen, guide, and fill her as she pours into our children and helps lay a strong spiritual foundation for their lives. Thank you for answering God’s call and investing in the next generation.

This is a beautiful way to step into the second half of the year, and we give God all the glory for the growth and expansion taking place at WTLM. We are thankful that our children have a place to worship, learn, grow, and build relationships with others their age while developing a love for God and His Word.

We believe this is only the beginning of what God has in store.
